Official Is This Car Worth It Thread vol 3

car can be seen here. Only thing that gives me pause is the 90K miles. Seems like a a lot for 2007. If only be driving it around 5-6K per year. Is that mileage too high? There is a 2001 for sale single owner with 55K miles for 20K. My issue with that one is it's a 2001 and while I'd prefer an AP1, my wife wants an AP2 and I didn't want to go older than 2002. Thoughts on the 2007? I return from vacation tomorrow so the hunt will officially continue.

Price does seem too good to be true. Snow tires and wheels? Hard top? Someone was driving this in snow and slush I assume. I'd expect it to be a rust bucket underneath. Check closely.

Hey guys, any thoughts on this 2006 with 92k miles? The guy wants 14.5 for it. Also, it the color seems a bit off for Rio Yellow, but I'm not too sure. He's had the car for only 3 months, as well. Any input would be appreciated.

Yeah he priced it at 16 but didn't deny 14.5 and agreed to meet up. When I asked if it was repainted his answer was "Im not sure, you can come check it out in person."
Looks like he upped the price, at 14.5 that's a fair price, at 16k ehhh you'd have to really really want it. The color looking off could just be the lighting/exposure being off since it's at night under a gas station so you'd have to see it in person. Only having a car for 3 months seems like the guy got it cheap and is trying to flip it.
The price for this car should reflect the frame damage, paint and other issues that raise questions.
If this car was clean and solid it would be worth $16K, start subtracting the costs to get it there. Frame damage will never go away as far as value.
IMHO, if you paid $ 7k and didn't mind the additional costs and aggravation you might have something but there are better ways to get an S2000.
As an old car guy who travels rural NY, I notice Jaguar XJSs, Porsche 928s and Benzs etc sitting among weeds in front of modest dwellings. We can all figure out that story

Hi all,
New member and potential owner here. I'm hoping to get some feedback on the car near me.
Details: 2002 54k miles, garage kept $14.5K
Comptech supercharger kit,
comptech aftercooler
Paxton novi 1000 supercharger
Comptech heat exchanger
D.C sport header
CT engineering catback exhaust
Tuned on AEM v2 standalone
ID 1000 injectors
Stage 3 competition clutch
Ap2 trans to go with the car. AP1 trans in now.
Walbro 255 wired to batt with relay
Gendron solid front brace
J's racing front lower ball joints (have factory ones as well)
Fresh alignment, (caster, camber & toe adjustment) have printout.
AEM wideband with AEM gauge, (needs new sensor $70 off eBay
From my research the price seems reasonable. I hesitate to buy a sc'd car, but the miles are low and I'd even consider removing it and moving back towards stock performance. It also seems I better have a compression test and retainer pin check done. Car looks clean and drives well from what I can tell.

it should cost more if its in good shape. Not saying good deals don't exist, but look it over REAL good before you pull the trigger.
