Those with problems, what were your issues?
My 2001 was bought in March of this year. Thus far it has a little over 5K miles on her.
1) clutch gave up the ghost completely at about 3,000 miles. i don't drag the car and have never side stepped the clutch. i slipped the clutch a bit around 3.5k -4K rpms and the clutch just fried. Honda was baffled and gave me a completely new flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch assembly. the fried parts were sent to Japan for a "thorough review" according to the honda rep.
2) original convertible top boot would not stay snapped inside the passenger side door. it would pop off whenever i exceeded 40mph and flap around noisily in the car. replaced quickly and easily within two weeks of taking delivery of the car.
3) drivers side window doesn't work propery. it suddenly stopped fully retracting when opening/closing the top and the auto down feature doesn't work. dealership had it for two days (i could have taken it home but we don't use the S much for commuting to and from work). window relay replaced. this problem is solved for exactly 24 hours because the next afternoon the same problem re-appears.
4) my convertible top boot is screwed up again. interstingly enough, i only take it off and on once a week to wash the car. 3 of the snaps are loose and ready to pop out of the vinyl. in addition, the male piece on the drivers side door is loose and ready to come off. dealership has ordered new cover and parts.
5) original plastic window was creased when i took delivery because the morons at the dealership didn't take the proper care in lowering the top. whole new window installed no questions asked.
6) door latch trim piece not re-installed. purely a dealer issue as the gopher balls that "fixed" my drivers side window neglected to properly re-install this piece after he was done. fixed immediately.
7) scratches between the top well and the trunk. again, dealership issue as the supposedly helpful dealer disregarded my wishes and washed my car. apparently the guy who removed the top boot didn't take off his watch or jewelry and scratched the crap out of the car. nothing some buffing, waxing and yelling on my part didn't fix. just irritating.
overall, most of these problems are minor in nature (except for the clutch). also many of the issues were created by the dealer.
we've only owned this car 5.5-6 months and i've had more problems/issues than i did with all our previous acuras and hondas combined. i'm somewhat cool with this as i fully realize and apprecaite the small volume/hand made/cutting edge technology nature of this little car. still, i would be lying if i didn't say that i am a little disappointed and very glad that i leased this car. if the problems continue i will simply continue to drive and enjoy the crap out of it and have not issues handing the keys back for a new one.

After reading Da Hapa's post I'm reminded that my clutch has also refused to engage fully or totally slipped while accelerating. RPMs soared, car kept moving slowly and interior filled with fetid odor of fried clutch.
After reading the Transmission thread, I'm also reminded that after the TSBs my trannie occasionally pops out of gear. Still love it, but I've bought nothing but Hondas and Acuras since 1983 and never had a serious problem with any previous Honda/Acura. Just as long as Honda stands behind these wee jewels, I'll feel OK about it all.

Got MY 2002 in Oct-02.
Encountered 2 problems so far:
-gas cap struggles to seat & seal (gas leaks out and spills on my paint!).
-driver's side window won't auto-roll-down with top drop swith, nor with the switch on door.
other than that I'm very satisfied with the car.
