reliable, drives and looks like new...could never replace it with anything = from the $ that i could sell it for

 

I will keep it forever unless the following situations occur:

-baby and need $$
-new house and need $$
-random financial trouble

I will keep it forever (unless the above occurs) for the following reasons:

-first car I ever negotiated and purchased myself at the dealer
-it is not hard to keep up
-best gearbox ever made on a production vehicle
-can't beat the performance for the price
-flawless design
-bulletproof reliability

 

due to the recession, the fact that this car has been made too long, and they are very abundant, and the resale/trade in value is so horrific compared to when I got rid of my 01. Almost 3 years ago, O got $18k on my 01 trade in. I can't even get that now on my 06 with 20k less miles. Very sad.

Good chance I'll be keeping my S2000 for the rest of my life. I planned on keeping my first car I got as a teenager (1987 Mitsubibishi Starion), the rest of my life, but lack of parts, reliability, and inability to repair the car forced me to sell it.

that's not gonna happen with a Honda, so it's my replacement, and likely I'll be keeping it forever. I get attached to cars, and my 06 reminds me of how hooked I got on my Starion, so the thought of selling, makes me feel like I'm giving my child up for adoption.
