Alright after 4 months of sitting I finally had the money to take her to the shop...the mechanic told me its a helper spring in the valvetrain that has lost its tension or fouled in some way and its only gonna cost a third of what I thought it would so she's gettin a new top this spring!!! I can't wait to get her back next week

thanks, just in it for knowledge/better understanding.
Each X does not equal about 1 qt... if it did, then it being on the L would mean there was absolutely no oil in the engine. There is about a 1 Qt difference from L to H.

How much did this job cost at your dealership?

Alright guys she's finally back together and running great! My mechanic was right about the vtec helper spring breaking, but when that happened it caused the rocker arm to chip off a piece of the head where the helper spring sits...The end result was getting a "new" used head, upgrading the intake valve retainers to AP2 retainers, new vtec helper springs, new head gasket, and a complete valve job with head decking...The total cost with labor was right at $2000. I can only imagine how much a Honda dealership would have tried to gouge me for. Anyways, I'm just happy to have her back for summer !! Happy driving!
