i hate to do it, but...

VeilSide AP1 has to be listed in here.

i bought a set of mirrors from him on Oct 28, sent paypal that day.
they arrived Nov 11 in less than satisfactory condition; here is a link to pics of them in my gallery...note that paint defects are fairly hard to capture on camera

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=m...bum&album=30037

the conversation went like this:

veilsideap1: Hey if you still want the mirrors i can leave it to you for a reasonable price shipped, let me know. Thanks

my2ks2k: assuming there are no scratches or defects in the paint...and the glass is clean and spot-free...i'll take 'em.

veilsideap1: Intact, so is $150 shipped and PP sound good?

my2ks2k: $125 sounds better

veilsideap1: Dude your a hard barginer $130 and i will have them out today? Cool

my2ks2k: sold!

in my opinion, this means he knew that i was looking for mirrors that had good, defect-free paint, and was representing his mirrors as such.

you saw what i received.

afterward,

nov.11
my2ks2k: so i got the mirrors yesterday. i think maybe we got our lines crossed somehow. take a look and let me know what you think.

my2ks2k: Max,

This is my second attempt to contact you regarding my purchase of your Silverstone Side Mirrors. Per my previous PM I believe there was a significant misunderstanding regarding the condition of the mirrors; the mirrors i received are badly scratched, chipped, and one even has a piece of the plastic broken off. I am well aware that situations like this one can be awkward and are by no means fun to deal with but we need to try to take care of this. In order to do so we have to communicate.
In my previous PM I attempted to show what I believe are the differences between the stated and actual condition of the mirrors. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the information I provided and give me a response by the end of the day tomorrow.
I think we both would agree that the S2KI Member Classified Forum has been a great place to buy and sell parts and accessories for our S2000s. I hope we can take care of this issue so that we can both continue to enjoy the benefits of this forum.

thanks,

jeremy

veilsideap1: Oh hey man, so you got the mirrors! Good! Im sorry i didnt recieve your first message dude, im also sorry that youre not happy with the mirrors that were sent. They were not in bad shape at all and what plastic piece are you refering to? Like i stated in my other thread i have another set available if you want me to send you those but like i said the mirrors i have are in good shape to me. I dont know what scratches your reffering to. They may have been dirty somewhat, Let me know what you wanna do. The mirrors are fine to me as they where not broken nor damaged when they sent them out and the pics i posted are of the mirrors i sent you.

Max

my2ks2k: the mirrors are in...ok shape. i was under the impression that you knew that i was looking for mirrors in great shape, maybe you didn't. it's not a huge deal, because we aren't talking about a lot of money. the situation is that the paint is coming off my mirrors in some spots, and i'd like them to look nice again. these mirrors look better than one of mine, but much worse than the other. IE:

in these pictures you can see a LOT of scuffs and scratches on the paint, as well as the plastic surrounding the glass

these pictures show big scuffs that can't be fixed with buffing

and these pictures show where a piece of the plastic is broken off the base

the mirrors would look fine after re-painting, but if i was going to re-paint, i would have just used my own. anyway, i think the best thing would be for me to just return them. if that's cool with you, just refund say $120 and i'll pay to ship them back. Or, i don't mind listening if you have alternative options.

i have no problem understanding that a pm may have gotten lost, and that there was miscommunication, or maybe the mirrors have been boxed for so long you forgot what they look like. Regardless, i think we can both agree that they aren't in the shape i thought they were, so it would be good if we can just undo the transaction. No hard feelings on my part by any means.

thanks,
jeremy

veilsideap1: Jeremy, i see what your saying, you want something thats completely perfect like out of factory perfect, i told you from the begining that they are in good shape and i even sent you pics of them like you requested. Now buying used Factory like new mirrors is like finding a needle in a hay stack. The plastic piece was not in that shape when i sent it, i have no control over how USPS treats the boxes that they ship. If you want something perfect i suggest buying it from the dealer. Im not offended but i am bothered that now you want to return them and wanting money back for something thats in good shape to use. The 1 mirror alone in Silverstone goes for $192.38 listed on hondaautomotiveparts.com. I sold you 2 in a good shape for $130.00 shipped and all. You asked me if they were good and i gave you my opinion on them and i still believe they are good for use.

my2ks2k: Max,

a few reasons why this doesn't work for me:

1.
QUOTE
assuming there are no scratches or defects in the paint...and the glass is clean and spot-free...i'll take 'em.

that's what i said, and this is what i got:

there are clearly scratches and defects, not to mention part of the base is cracked off.

2. you can't control how USPS treats the boxes, which is why it's important to pack stuff well, and these mirrors were not packed well:

user posted image

3. the price that i paid you for the mirrors has no bearing on the situation. if you told me there were no scratches or defects, then that should hold true whether you are selling them for $50 or $500.

also, i checked, and have no record of you sending me any pictures. if you find record of you sending me some, forward it to me please.

you are right in that the mirrors are functional, but they are not in good shape. i have had 5 other forum members from my local group look at them and they all agreed that the mirrors are not in good shape.

this needs to be taken care of.

jeremy

veilsideap1: You asked me and i gave you my opinion on the condition of these mirrors, i recall you asking me for close ups of the mirrors and glass and thats what i sent you, I do recall you asked for them. If it makes you happy i will sned you $30 back, Let me know. If i would have known you would be one of these anal people the look at the most minimal thing about what i sold you i would not have sold them to you.

Max

i have since sent him 2 pms asking him either to refund half my money or all of it and i would pay to ship the mirrors back; once on nov. 21, and again on dec. 2, and have yet to hear anything from him. i know he deals with a lot of people on here, and will prob have a lot of folks vouching for him, but i've had one experience with him and it was terrible. won't deal with him again.

ECUpirate -

you had my phone number - why couldn't you have called bro? I sent your static clings out. I told you the deal. My friend is one selling you static cling, you will see that on the return address when you get it. I have a tracking number via priority mail to prove it was shipped - file your dispute, but your item was shipped.
I provided my cell phone number and my email address on the thread since I do not frequently visit the site to check pm's.
You need to get your facts right before going and trying to make me look like the bad guy bud...

BTW... I will be more than happy to give you a full refund - send my static cling back and I'll even pay the return shipping. Just don't have the nerve to call me a bad seller because you don't hear back within 24 hrs.
buddy, you are a bad seller. It has now been 17 days and no stickers. And no, you didn't respond to my email to your regular email address. You told me that the 3 stickers I bought were the last ones you had, then you turn around and say in your thread that you still have some...that leads me to believe that you never shipped mine out, and were trying to get another sucker on the hook. Additionally, you provided your email and phone number, but why? If your friend is the one selling them, and he is the one responsible for the deal, you should have provided his info. You said in your thread that YOU would ship them withing a day or two via priority mail. You lied there too.

I do have the tracking numbers finally from you, and the tracking on USPS.com says that you shipped them on DECEMBER 8th. That means that you did in fact lie to me when you said they were shipped out and were probably behind due to Thanksgiving. Then you said your friend shipped them last Friday. SO...which is it? Make up your mind. Lying on several occasions definitely does not help your case, or help your selling reputation.

But nevertheless, like I said in a pm to you, if I actually do get them, I will say so here and in your for sale thread. But I will never do business with you again, nor recommend anyone else do so.

You Bud, are the bad buyer. I would rather give you your money back than do business with a ball breaking s.o.b. like you.
I told you what the deal is dude - the statics were my friends. he told me they shipped last week, i guess there was a miscomm somewhere, but they went on the 8th instead... i realize i should hve been more on top of the homey and his shipping when i let him use my name on here, but these are stickers dude. Its not like your car is broken sitting around waiting on me to send a part.
I apologize for not being on top of things as much as I should have....

So, EcuPirate - nitpick as you will. I am a good seller. This was justa bad transaction. I amnot gonna waste my time explaining this b.s. to anyone anymore. I did my part, now you can bitch as much as you want. I have over 1500 positive feedback on ebay so say what you will sir.

BTW... reason I told you I had 3 left is cuz I did not want to sell you more. 3 per person. Why is it matter how many statics I have???!!! You must just like to bitch dude. Sorry you felt lied to, but I don't feel its the case. You got exactly what you asked for and paid for so quit complaining. If you don't want my item - send it back and quit wasting time complaining about it - do something if you dont want it man, send me that shit back and I will give you a 100% refund. I'd rather refund you anyway and sell that static to someone else.

Bad transaction = Bad Seller

Everyone can see here that you are a bad seller by you responses.

If I actually get the stickers one day, I will just end this dispute. Until that day comes, you owe me a refund.

And no, its not like my car is sitting around due to you being a bad seller, but $30 is not pocket change.

And keep in mind, it is not right to come on here trying to sell friends items, especially if he/she is the one responsible for shipping them out! It would be cool if you were the one responsible, but that is obviously not the case.
