I have a question about comptech brembo brake clearance on some volk ce28n I found there specs are front 17x9+63 rear 17x10+70 offset they are listed as s2000 fitment but I can find any info if they clear. here is a link to the website
Rays Volk Racing CE28N Diamond Black Wheels Set 5X114.3 17X9 +63 Offset 17X10 +70 Offset Honda S2000
I have adjustable upper balljoints as well as other adjustable suspension parts as well as a fender roller as I have already rolled the rears I just want to avoid over fenders. thanks for any info provided.

The comptech brake kit uses the standard brembo front kit. You could search and see if anyone has test fit the 17x9 +63 ce on a brembo kit. You may try hitting up Feezy he may know. Those volks are pretty sweet. I thought the 17x10 +70 were long discontinued. You won't need any overfenders but you may need to roll the front. Could also run a small spacer on the fronts to clear the brakes. If I had a set of those wheels I would be happy to test fit them.

I suspect the answer to this is probably buried somewhere in the 144 pages of this thread - but I can't seem to find it.

I have Volk ce28 in s2k sizes - 17x7.5 +50 for the front, and 17x9.0 +63 for the rear. I am considering 225/45 and 255/40 tires (new Conti's).

Will this fit my 02 s2k with stock ride height and stock fenders without rubbing? Is it a decent set up for spirited back road street driving?

Yes to both. It's very close to oem specs and the extra tire won't be an issue. The tires are the only thing I'm not sure on.

would any work be required to use for the rear 17x9 +38? if so then would 17x8 +47 be adequate to fit a 245 tire? looking at work emotion 11r

17x9 +38 would definitely require a roll & fair bit of camber.

What size tire?

hmm, dont want to run camber.

how feasible would it be to run 17x7 +50 front and 17x8 +45 rear? 215/245 tires
looking at these SSR Wheels - SSR GTV02

or 17x8 +45 front 17x9 +38 rear http://www.ssr-wheels.com/wheels/gtx01.asp

17x8 in the rear is more narrow than AP2 stock rear wheel size (17x8.5). Not sure if that's a dealbreaker for you or not. 17x8 on a 245 in the rear would still require a roll, maybe some camber depending on how low you are.
