Honda e
The lucky thing for us is the £3k grant went (gave new prices a nudge) then Honda increased the price... £36,920 for a white one now?
Its a nice situation but someone who pays £37k won't be joining us in low depreciation land

Agree about the grant going. I surmised buying new for £32k on perhaps £5k per annum depreciation to bring it more in line with comparable ICE small cars. Not easy to compare due to the quality feel and quirky tech in the 'e'. Not to mention the range! If it were now around £22k as I expected it would still be £2k above my take on ICE small car par. So to see £26k dealer buys to sell out at £29k which is still a premium must be down to other things like the one-of-a-kind visual impact, and rarity, whereby people still come up to ask me about the car. Plus mine is in the bestest quirky colour of course, charge yellow, not staid old pensioner blue

I don't think snot green is a selling factor
It can look good very heavily polished.. mine is electric blue clearly
Any brand new car will deprec. You are passed 2 years now so 5-6 k is excellent for a new car

Tesla is dropping new car prices by £ 9100. That will put a large spanner in the wheels of 2nd hand BEV prices. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/...te-effect.html
You have to be special to buy a Tesla
As in needs
They are all on lease
Anyway, went to autosport today. Did not take the e. It is a comfortable, refined little cruiser. Way more so than a 21 year old S2000 with a terrible exhaust (OEM to be restored soon) and leaky roof
But we took the S because no range issues
I missed the calm of the e but not the shyte range and wondering about a charge

So after 2 years, car is nudging 14k and finally I had to get my wallet out
2 new rears, Much Pilot Sport 4 225s, £208 at me local
Meanwhile -3C equates to 10% batt for 7 miles jaunt (round trip) to walk the mutt by the river
Even taking 28kwh as capacity (owner guess as a chunk is retained for battery health) that is 7 miles in 2.8kwh
2.5m/kWh (range of 70 on a full battery)
51mpge

4443 miles wallet not yet required
Average 2.5p/mile for electric charging so approx 300mpge
It remains to be seen what happens in autumn, both with the Octopus 'Go' tariff offerings and the winter 2023/24 price cap (if any).
edit: how many miles / tread left in the fronts Jason?

They are not far behind tbh. I will post up measurements
What I have noticed is that at 3 years old the rear tyres don't look good. Yours might be higher silicon content being the efficient tyres so may last longer? I'll post some pics when it's light to show you what I mean. I guess you won't wear them out in 5 years either way, I have been very lead footed at times, such as you can (off the line lol)
We had a short schlepp in it at NSL the other day.. I asked my son after
'i way prefer this car, it's so much more quiet and comfy, the s2000 is very uncomfortable'
I think he might be gay (joke).. he has a point, the e is a much calmer place to be.. aside from any range concerns

I agree with junior.
Personally I would axe one of the S2000s.
Subject to rust, my view would be keep the standard one. Still be a fun car.
People don't value/distrust modded motors and the Wheeler Dealers view is that stock is better, holds value.
edit: maybe junior will change his view in a few years when he can see over the scuttle and starts to drive himself - a petrolhead he will surely be.
