He knows his rare Honda's I'm sure
it's dire value to me, approaching 50k for a fwd modestly powered hot hatch but then I'm far from a connoisseur of such things. Last one I had 2 decades ago, was shyte
I cannot look away from the Lotus though

I really like the new Lotus too, but I'm waiting for a more focussed version before looking at them with an intention to buy...

It's downside is a relatively mundane engine I imagine. I will have a go at some point though.

Shyte dog wagon mind. I can get her to sit in the S2000 but as we plan another I do need something with capacity
The HRV sport when they are a little older maybe

Ideally, I would have the A45 engine with a manual 'box, but that configuration isn't available yet......and maybe never

Lotus would need someone to make it
AMG won't make it, no demand from their customers
I would prefer the Toyota motor I think. An I4 turbo is not very exotic though I believe it's quicker
it's a good looking think, blows it's Teutonic rivals away

Overnight refill at home after Xmas shopping trip to Holt in the 'e'. Place stacked with gobby London Luvvies 2nd homers cluttering up the parking. Ugh.

Got low warning at 15% home with 12 miles range as planned for an Ohme charge-up overnight.

The 4 hours Octopus 'Go' low rate back to 123 miles 98%.

£2 exactly for 26.7kWh = 7.5p/unit

That is a heavily subsidised price tho

Batteries, high day rate should you hit it.

The e is now a cheap to run car rather than extraordinarily cheap

many BEV owners quote those numbers without your kit and it's mis representation to me
Imagine you consume 13kwh house with no batts

You get 4 hrs or 1/6 cheap rate. Let's say it's flat for simplicity
1/6 of your juice costs 7.5p (12p for me) 16.25 (26p for me
5/6 costs 41.1p (445p for me)

Total 471p

I pay 33p flat so 429p total

As soon as I do miles it starts to flatten out but I will need excel to spot the point.. I doubt I do enough

Appreciate your position is different but for all but mile munchers and those with big batts go is of little net value

A full tank is £9.5 for me, gets me about 100 miles this time of year

Unimpressive overall. But it's a good dog wagen

My Octopus 'Go' you got slightly wrong my 5/6ths rate is only 34.11p which was agreed May 22 under a fixed contract until August.
7.5p/unit for 1/6th of the day is heavily subsidised you say. Your 33p flat rate is itself heavily subsidised (Govt cap) and ends in April. Who knows what then?

With Octopus Intelligent 'Go' I am looking at 1/4 (6 hours) at 10p then 3/4 (all other hours) at 44.35p from then but I understand it will be variable so will qualify for any Govt capping (not holding my breath). However I am not enamoured of their current requirement to manage your EV car charging. We shall see. In 6 hours at 3.2kWh/hour I could put 19kWh into house batteries so it is tempting to augment them so I can store/discharge more than 10kWh per day. If it is worth it - I don't want to spend my days second guessing how much house battery capacity to leave spare to store PV sunlight next day

But taking your 13kWh daily house consumption ignoring the daily standing charge.
1/4 at 10p rest at 44.35p so say £4.64 total. That compares well with your £4.29 (subsidised by Govt until April.)
My current 'Go' figure would be 1/6th at 7.5p rest at 34.11p so is actually £3.86 which may be subsidised but is fixed until August 2023.

edit Anyways back on topic my 'e' hopefully I will be able to fill up at 10p/unit so under £3 a tankful.
Road tax will be due from 2025 but that is a while away yet

There is limited usage overnight as you know, maybe 2.4kwh over 8hrs for me

Regardless it's a zero sum game for someone without batteries and I have no interest in investing in half arsed solutions that are currently offered outside the overpriced Tesla stuff

my subsidy is mine it's true because HMRC are not very good at retrieving this cash their bosses threw at the sector.

It's also complex. Similar to layering in AML.

We can vote of course. I will return to the (postal) ballot in due course to wave this shit shower au revoir
