Not sat in one mind Chippo but carwow came up with the entry level Renno 'e' at £30.5k. The allowance on my Honda 'e' three years old very low miles was £18.5k.

Renno looks a lot bigger they say nice up front squashed rear pass but who cares. Have not got £12k will live with the range and sit tight.

Wife is going for middle of range Tekno thing , we got our price from car wow in the end. we got 9.5k for our Qashqui just six, old 1,2 petrol just under 50k , needs MOT , Qashqui creaky drivers seat , needs brakes all around , two supermarket trolly dings , scratches on boot cill , and a few other scratches , tires all around 4mm , rears the originals.

yes the Reno is much bigger than the E , and the rear is cramped I suppose although I found it comfy , so when I am naughty and made to sit in the back won’t be to bad. Seriously we don’t care about rear passengers . Front end is comfy and a nice place to be.

Notm , the funky thing isn’t Qashqui at all for a start it’s on the Megane electric platform , gets good reviews but as u say not cheap and long lead times as was the Quasqui e power , many of the Reno options result in long lead times to , we had no colour preference and we’re lucky for them to find white with black roof , sort of acceptable to her indoors , there’s a few parked in a field in UK some where , but not transport to deliver them ! WHAT ,

Interesting other-halves dustbins always seem to be Qashqais.

In my case it's a cabrio Smart so we got topless option.

Hate the thing - dustbin would be less bumpy.

I'm awaiting solid state batteries. The wait may not be that long!

electric cars are great to drive for transport. Maybe dull for fun cars but 95% of people wouldn't know a fun car if it ran over their nuts

2 of my neighbours, one bought an electric Porsche as a weekend car, one told me his VW SUV with a golf R engine was "brilliant fun". I make that 300hp and 2 tonnes. Physics tells me that is shyte. but might be a good dog car

I don't like my neighbours

Ooooh Porsche , electric car service costs ! £1200 to check the brakes , tyres and suspension , oh and the justification is the roof drains need to be cleaned , really.

the Reno is around £120 per annum , what do u guys pay for the E?

I get the car thing as a fun thing hence I still have my S, however for the chores of life a comfy reliable car with a bit of room is a requirement , if one can afford it , we are lucky we can I suppose. Currently we have S , Qashqui , and my Jazz Van

and most people with a fun car never ever put the right peddle to the floor , they just tiddle around . I got an angry wave yesterday as I shot past one at 9000rpm smiling , think he just woke up so was pissed at being disturbed.

A lot complain about dealer rates at Honda.

Mine and Rog have a service pack, 5 years, £500 iirc (I didn't pay really)

I won't bother after that. It needs nowt really, brake fluid every 3 years, pollen filter, check what needs doing... About it . Not much serviceable

The Kia had a 10 year warranty, mine? 3.. runs out end of July. Not that I expect it to break but still Honda, wtf?

anyway, I expect use to drop with the drop of school run from next month.. will watch see if the Kia's are good

Don’t know about E long term , but Honda reliability has taken a knock recently on What Car and JD Power reliability surveys , other than the Jazz which is usually in top 3 with Toyota Yaris And VW up, lol even Reno is above Honda in the what car survey !

trouble is 99% of modern cars are reliable generally , always the story down the pub of course , and there are stats and dam stats !

I had a bad exp with a Citroen years ago and my BM was fragile but with the removal of the engine and transmission you, in theory, simplify in some ways

Obviously the wiring is a concern and I think honda are very conservative with the battery to make it last (you get access to 28kwh ish)

Software is reliable if left alone

On the e so far I have heard of a few door handle replacements, a few 12v battery issues and problems which are often result of impacts with stuff like the cruise control sensors and parking sensors which can be pricey

The stuff made in Japan is still well made imo, Chris Hondaholic mentioned somewhere they are moving)moved to everything being that once more which will be good

Let's see what my end of warranty check says and whether all my drop links are intact

Citroen , we’re once serious innovators and built amazing cars like the DS ! But recently ! And never reliable

yes Honda are moving a lot of production back to japan , current Jazz and CRV for instance , full eclectic CRV by end of year apparently

they are moving back up market , I presume to position between the euro box type stuff ( Megane E Tech LOL) and premium brands
