From what i overheard it's that the silver generation have been helping out their offspring with money for bills due to job cuts and no longer have spare cash for a new coffin.
A 24k new Jazz is not significantly better than an 8.5k 3 year old one. Certainly not good enough to persuade you to throw in the price of the previous 'new' one on top of the trade in.

Yaris GR is going to be a 2nd hand riot - if you can ever persuade owners to part with them. Like a moden day 205 Dimma without the gremlins.
If you are only going to do < 3k a year anything is green. So you're back to the age old question of what do you want to do your 3k in. The answer is as ever, multiple vehicles.

That does 35mpg but costs nowt, I service it, never breaks or if it does cheap fix. But still, at £5 a gallon, 285 gallons it's 1.4k fuel
I don't think err indoors will bite though.. big tank SUV it is then

i'll keep my curiosities and it will save me capex. Just have to avoid driving it.
This article describes how a 125 mile journey in an EV took 9 hours.
Summary: nice car (Porsche Taycan) fair range (250 miles) but they set off with only 45 miles in the battery and needing a 'rapid charge' point. Enjoy the read and realise why our cute yellow peril Honda 'e' isn't going on any long trips any time soon. For almost all EV users their charging strategy is to avoid dependence on public charging and to charge their EVs at home and at work*. The poor state of the public charging network is the looming fly in the ointment of the Gov't policy banning sales of fossil fuelled cars from 2030. Another - in all probability - is the capacity of the UK electricity supply, increasingly relying on solar and wind power. On dark cold windless nights there won't be enough capacity, so - apart from lots of grumpy cold people - none of the EVs will be charged. There will be mayhem at the public charging points next day.
*always assuming there will still be those who aren't working from home!

Our government helps us out mind. If they do something you know it will be a ****up
i doubt an office return to normal is on the cards, if that's true it should be good for everyone except HMRC

On a different note, have you kicked the arse out of that E yet?
In terms of its handling, I read that it gets a bit unsteady when TC is switched off. I have to be honest, although it's not a car to thrash, I'd have to push it to see how it copes. Have you?
