I guess where I'm coming from is the fact that I believe in spending the big money once rather then doing the small money upgrades and having to upgrade again later. So I'm more about just getting the best stuff from the get-go.
100% Do it right the first time, you'll regret cutting corners. I also emphasize that ECU work should be a last resort type of thing. Wait till you have all your other mods before fooling with the brain.

gears are a given....4.56 for me. vfac with a tune. got it. how much does T1R go for? single that is.
I've been tacked on to this since it started, I would like 230 - 240 rwhp as well!
On another section of the forums there is talk about the V-AFC "losing it's tune" over time due to the Stock ECU learning it's ways, therefore compensating and eventually returning everything to stock. Resetting the ECU though, i heard, would take care of this. Just though i'd throw that in since there is a lot of talk about the VAFC and J's ECU.
Someone please enlighten us about this issue!
Great Stuff, tho!

AEM EMS, what does it exactly let you do.....?
A short list would be controls: fuel, timing, rev limiters, launch stage limiters, nitrous, boost controller, when you a/s turns on and off, everything just about. Kind of intimidating if you don't know how to use it.

your telling me! what about e-manage(ultimate), is it similar?
. I thought e-manage doesn't actually replace the ECU but is also a piggy-back, like the VAFC, except with many more functions to control.I also don't even know the price difference between the two.

thanks man...I just try and help.
