On my S2000, I have 18X9.0 SSR Comps in the rear, each wheel weighing 17lb. During the summer I would change wheels every other weekend, and the SSR Comp with a 255/35 AVS ES 100 combo weighed closer to 40 pounds than 20.

Pretty heavy wheel.
It's 21.2 lbs for the 17X7, not 17X8. I'm guessing the 17X8 is 22+ pounds.

Version, definitely look into some lighter wheels. See if you can pick up some SSR Comps used. Those are light wheels.

That is for the wheel alone. What tires are you running?

BTW...a truely lightweight wheel weighs under a lb an inch.
i got the sumotmo's just for a decent DD tire. they dont wear at all! even at almost 3 degrees camber in the rear.

Here are the specs on my LE28Ns:

17X7.5 +50: 14.5 lbs / 17X9 +63: 16 lbs

You won't find a setup much lighter than those.

The offset of those rear wheels is ass: +45
But it's only an 8-inch wheel, I'm pretty sure I'd fit without rubbing.
