i meant with the complete t1r system test pipe and exhaust, theres no smooth transition from the stock header to the test pipe, but it still has a big gain
12whp easy from 70mm exhaust.

A 70mm header-back exhaust should provide the same gains as a 70mm exhaust and test pipe, correct?
it'll basically be identical.

The only draw back is if you ever want the CAT back on for any reason then you better keep your stock exhaust. I think most of us don't care about that though.

Tomorrow I am installing the 2.2L mugen header. I measured it and it's 2.25". I am also installing the Invidia test pipe, 2.25". My exhaust is the single spugen 2.5" catback. Would I get considerable gains with a 2.75" header back? or would the change in diameter from 2.25 to 2.75 lose hp.

Also is the T1R 70RT a header back or catback? I have been looking at the J's 70RR...

I will try and post some info after the install and maybe a video clip. Any advice about the exhaust appriciated as well.

Thanks,
Digs

not to sound like a jerk, but the answers to your question are on this page, just scroll up.

in short, 2.75(70mm) makes wicked power. 2.5(60mm) does ok, but not as good as a 70mm.

with the setup you just mentioned, i would say you'd make a soild 210-13 whp. tuning the setup is what really makes the power.

I think he'd have more RWHP than that -- since he has the Mugen 2.2L header I assume that he has a 2.2L engine, which should dyno at 215-220 stock. I'd put him more at ~225whp. Damn underrated 2.2s

Your not being a jerk, your right. I tend to do more posting than reading after hours of wiskey shots

In general from what I've seen a more freely flowing exhuast will make top end power and lose torque, the more restrictive it is gains torque but loses top end. Basically you must bring balance to the F20 force lol.
