EMS is a great tuning tool. silver9K has a fully tuned EMS and he picked up great power. he is 5-6whp up on me. being able to fiddle with timing a couple degrees. best of luck to ya.
well, I WAS 5-6 up on you...I got tired of the loudness and can no longer afford the attention (bad... ). So, I put my stock exhaust back on...I must say, it sounds great...I love it with the intake, and I've also got the stock cat on as well. So I'm probably down at least 10whp from before. But its quiet now, and looks nicer...and I can sell the exhaust to save up and get my 4.57's

And I do still have the EMS on, I have to say that the car doesn't really FEEL like it lost power, even though it had to have.

I thought the same thing when I removed my T1R Power 70 cat-back. I left the testpipe on and went back to the stock exhaust, and the car didn't feel any slower at all. I do miss the sound

<=== Unhappy camper here. I wasn't even going to post this because I am pretty pissed, but what the hell here are my recent dyno results:

Toda header, J's test pipe, AEM CAI, Invidia, Hondata IMG, Hondata ECU reflash: 225rwhp (dyno dynamics)

Toda header, AEM CAI, Spugen single 3" header-back with HKS titanium muffler, Hondata IMG, Hondata ECU reflash: 213rwhp (dyno dynamics)

Toda header, AEM CAI, Spugen single 3" header-back with HKS titanium muffler, Hondata IMG, AEM EMS: 216rwhp (dyno dynamics)

Bottom line is this particuliar single exhaust has caused a significant loss in power.

ya i figured that 3 inch might just be too big, slowing exhaust gas speeds and thus losing power. my custome 70mm is almost done, i'll be dynoing with that and megan header. 230 plus! fingers crossed!

so 3" pipe is to much for this engine? what about torque figures?

You want some back pressure on a NA car .

70mm is max you would want for NA or 2.5in

On FI your turbo provides the backpressure to the motor . You want no backpresure after the turbo so not to slowdown the compressor .

Bigger is not always better . Like I have said before ....What works for FI does not always work for NA and vice versa.

Jaun, the Beast has landed , I will send you some pic's when I start on it . I will let you know what we find with the ITB's

kinda odd actually. Did you consider the weather change lately in the dynoes. It's been pretty dam hot and humid lately here in cali. And if your going to Church then it's worse there.

You already know what my S put down when I had my mods minus an ecu like yours. You think I would have dynoed less if I had an ecu at the time? I think there may be something wrong here.

3" is not enough backpressure as stated. The 70mm is equivalent to 2.76 inches actually.

In that Megan dyno, the owner lost .71 lbs of boost and the temp was 20 degrees hotter. They lost 2rwhp. The header should be good for 6-9 I am thinking.

Version, what size inlet/outlet is the muffler? We both need to get our asses to a dyno

That blows...BTW, where did you get your AEM EMS tuned? Depending on who did it, there still may be more power there to extract...
The exhaust is a defenate letdown. I suspected 3" is too big, but more so due to the flow charteristics of our engines...we only flow 634.711 cfm at full song. A 3" exhaust is probably slowing the exhaust flow enough to build enough backpressure to cause the performance hit your dyno is proving.
