naysayers are a dime a dozen, those willing to try stuff, enjoy a much happier life...
How did you get to that conclusion?

Maybe somebody willing to "try stuff" regrets wasting $5,000 for minimal gains and ruining the civility of their car?

while i agree with you on the simple point of trying things to see if they work and losing money in the process, i have make one simple point. probably the biggest misconception/stereotype is that s2k's dont respond to NA mods well. in my expirences, i have found this to be one of the fallacies reguarding our cars. at $1136.68 i have made one of most powerful NA s2k on this site. last i checked that is less than the cost of ONE amuse header. if you pick and choose carefully, you can make good power. for example, my car pulled 197 to the wheel bone stock. i am sitting at 221.1 to the wheel now. i added 4mph to my trap speed(100.8 stock vs. 104.98 modded) thats a big chunk of power over stock. and you can feel it when you drive it. i have since added a 70mm exhaust(proven for best gains) and expect dyno numbers in the 230 range when i dyno again next month.

for much less than the typical I/H/E setup i make, dare i say, more power than some of the name brands i.e mugen. its all personal preference and someday i WILL GO FI, but for now NA setup is alot of fun. great drivablily, good power and the bark to back it up!

If it is true please post your mods and dyno in under the Hood forum so all can share their experience with similar mods

Hmmm...with my KN drop in, and AEM EMS tuned...I'm not far behind you...a full Megan exhaust (header, resonator, cat-back) is advertised to give +15 rwhp on their site...I might catch you
Theoretically, that puts me at 223...flywheel 226...
ITB's another 15-20...then my secret weapon, currently in development (2nrwerks Cams & valvetrain upgrade)...If all goes according to plan, I should hit 250 rwhp w/o touching the bottom end easy...

vJDM-

Oh I'm not opposed to doing the mods at all. My BS filter just goes off when somebody says that trying stuff is going to make you a "happier person."

It may... or it may not.

the only explaination i can think of as to why i make the power i do, is that my car maybe have been a hair stronger out of the factory. i really dont know. it just does.
