Sorry bro...you are not hanging with a Carrera or Cayman. They will leave you standing still. Come back and talk to me when you are making around 350rwhp.
you dont need anywhere near 350whp to take out these cars.

350WHP would DESTROY them.

hes talking about on a road corse..... who knows.... driver error

Sorry friend...not going to happen.
Cayman S=
Base price: $59,695
Engine: 3.4 L H-6, 295hp, 255 lb-ft
Drive: Rear-wheel
0-60 mph: 5.1 sec
0-100 mph: 12.0 sec
1/4-mile: 13.7 sec @ 105 mph
Top speed: 171 mph

so far MY car is faster than that.

350rwhp would obliterate the Cayman S.

I've never raced a Cayman yet. I've been dying to see one.
...now if you're talking the new Carerra's, then yes, I stand no chance. I've been beaten enough times to not try to temp them anymore. Anything other than the newest ones though, if given the opportunity, I try to play

Hmmm...0-60 is comparable...with my ITB's I'd win.
0-100 is about the same
1/4 miles I was doing 13.9 @104, so with my mods since then, I'd win...I'd kill with the ITB's.
Top speed is no contest. Any dummy knows you can't get 170+ out of an s2k unless you go with taller gears, thus taking performance away from the other categories listed.

I'm not on the freeway much. Most of my adversaries line up to me on some of the larger "roads" here in Orlando. It's usually a "first one to the next light" type of race, in which, 1/4 miles times are a decent comparison.

Highway encounters I usually just politely tag behind cars like that, and stay about 10 carlenths behind them. Gives me enough warning if they spot a cop. It's usually a lost cause trying to race the above mentioned cars from a highway roll. Their top end is simply much stronger than ours.

you have to take into account the drvers ability also. When the new model prosches first came out I ran with a Carrera S on the highway from a 70 punch with my friend in the car. The guy started ahead of me and by the end of 110 had only pulled ahead maybe half a car.

You guys seem to be concentrating on 1/4 mile times. If you are out "destroying porsches" I assumed you were referring to freeway racing. If my assumption is correct, it is my belief that from a roll a Cayman S or Carrera will have an advantage over your S2000s.
i like to post 1/4 times to see the trap speeds. thats what i look at atleast, that shows you much more about a cars power output that the e.t does.

think about a 4.56 s2k running 13.3@102

and me running 13.6 @106

from a roll i can pull(very strongly) on a bolt on + 4.56 car. done it 3 times now.

To properly "kill" a Cayman S, I think you would need upwards of 280 rwhp IMO. Keep in mind that because of the MR layout, there is much lesser drivetrain loss in these cars than a FR layout, not to mention they can easily get better traction.

But who brought up this Porsche vs. Honda subject anyway?

The Cayman S is a fantastic car, and it is probably one of the only few cars I would consider trading my s2k for.
