Ok I picked up a compression tester, some sea foam motor treatment, and some fuel system treatment for good measure. I'll be doing all the tests this saturday when i install my header/intake. My question is, should I do all these tests before i put the new parts on or after??

There's no secret here...

From day one I have had Shawn Church tune the K-Pro on my wife's Civic (which by the way will beat most bolt-on S2000s). That car has never been tuned by AutoWave. I went to AutoWave because Mike made a wiring harness for the MY06 S2000 which allows an AEM EMS to be used in conjunction with the factory ECU. Mike is a great guy and a great tuner.

That aside, I like Shawn as a friend and will continue to have him tune my cars.
I was just intrested to see if both had tuned your cars and how you liked each tune.......

I have talked to Mike and can vouch he is a stand up guy

[QUOTE=2QYK4U,Oct 11 2006, 07:12 PM] Mike is a great guy...and I wish him the best in life.

That aside, I have an "alliance" with Hondata and with that Shawn Church.

And how did it drive? Can you benchmark it against a stock or SC S2000? Interested to know how differently a 230whp S2000 feels (hopefully with another 50-60kg also lost). I'm thinking about putting my S2000 on a little diet and getting some better breathing mods.

Currently considering:

- J's Racing 60RS exhaust (T1-R I had previously was too loud for my local circuit noise meters - 103dB )

- CAI (AEM V2 perhaps, unless the J's Racing CAI really is much better)

- aftermarket ECU (UK sourced and mapped)

- testpipe (sitting in my garage at the moment)
I haven't driven a stock S2000 yet. I'm test driving this weekend maybe, I'll let you know. But it felt VERY torquey throughout the whole powerband, and the power seemed unlimited with that 9k RPM redline. I feel like the car coudl have walked my friends 2006 Mustan GT. And those aren't slouches. He told me that the difference is phenominal. He actually dynotuned all of his mods. He is also a member of this forum.

btw he had the J's Dual 60rs

Yes, Doug is very smart as well. I was going to include him in my previous post, but I didn't. Doug has been very good to me. He is one of those guys who you know you could trust without any hesitation.

Shawn doesn't really have a waiting list. He has a couple people working for him, all of whom are very knowledegble. Asura (GFL) is apparently helping him out as well. Do you have Shawn's number? I can't wait to have him tune my S2000!
i would want shawn to tune my car, i know he probly has a good group of guys working for him, but it would just be my personal prefferance.....

and if i couldnt have him, i would just go over to mike.

i wish doug would tune other EM's. or does he???

he knows soooo much about tuning its mind boggeling........

I had cai, J's header, T1R 70mm exhaust, VAFC2, hondata IMG, 4.77s, and 200 pounds shaved. The car was quick, about as fast as a stock supercharged S2000. It wasn't fast enough
