As for that 250-260whp with Intake, 3"exhaust, testpipe, custom header, 70mm TB, EMS, and headwork. That will definitly be pushing it, I don't think you'll get that high of a number although maybe if you rev the 2.2 to 9k you might be getting closer to the 250 mark, but still. The intake manifold is a restriction, and you'll probably need a little more compression as well. Whatever you do, 250whp N/A is pretty damn quick. With me at my 225whp or so, I raced a stock STi (expecting to win as we are pretty close stock) and continued to pull away. This is at 5000ft elev. where they have the advantage being F/I and don't loose AS MUCH power due to altitude. I would expect a 250 N/A whp S2k with 4.56's to be somewhere in the 12.5 range in the 1/4. I hope to eventually be there.
I know I'm being a little o optimistic with the 250-260whp range, but most built S's are being able to dyno around 240whp. This is using a 70mm exhaust system, and most likely a J's header(or some 4-2-1 design). A 4-1 design is known to show much better gains up top then a 4-2-1 header. I figure combined with the listed mods I should be able to reach close to my desired goal. The thought of uping compression has crossed my mind, but I would like to see how far I can take the car before doing so. Then maybe I'll have Laskey build the block for me .

Redline will be set at around 8.5 atleast till further modifications.

AHH, so it's only AP2s doing the clutch slave. Makes sense now, cool!
I thought I saw a 2001 with an "03 cylinder slave" and I said WTF?

Good luck!

Amen. I was going to throw it on when I was going a different route.
It's cheap, it's good... But install kills it unless you're already in there.

There you go then...that bumps it up .3 right? or is it .2? either way...a little compression bump there, and then shave a little off the head and you'll have maybe .2-.3 jump there. and that'll bring you to 11.5:1 or so which will add a couple hp.

You could get J's Balances Pistons from AJ-R for $650 or something. They are 11.7:1, and retain the use of factory sleeves.

I think the Spoon gasket adds .2 compression.
Is stock 11:1 or 11.1:1?
