So what do we predict about this setup:

AUT Snorkel
K&N Filter
Spoon Venturi TB
Hondata Gasket
J's / Toda Header
T1R 70mm Test Pipe
T1R Sparrow
Comptech Flywheel
Buddy Club RS ECU Tuned

Think that would be good for 225 peak hp?
dude, dont be modest. i predict 235rwhp. if i am getting damn close to 225 with the mods i have, then holy shit buckets, you're going to smash the 230 mark.

But also keep in mind that AJ PWR got 236whp with:

Js Intake
Js TB
Js Header
Js 70r
Js ECU

His ECU would be a little better, TB is bigger, exhaust is better... I have a flywheel, comparable intakes, and hopefully the same header. Plus I think yours is a freak.
I predict 220whp. Especially with a damn dual crampin' by flow at the end.

i love j's products. but the more i lean about the s2k the more i realize that you have got to mix and match.

j's header
amuse R1 dual
buddy club ecu
spoon TB
intake w/ snorkel

i bet he would have made 240rwhp out of that setup. i dont now. of course wtf do i know? nothing! hahahaha!

Umm thats my setup, minus the flywheel and intake gasket - and different exhaust.

Amuse R1 dual is NOT the best... I think the R1000 single is 70mm? If so, that's the top...
And the BC ECU is < J's ECU (If you have the other Js mods), also Js TB is bigger than Spoon.

Basically.... delete your last post.

why is it that my friend tells me he can hit 220 whp with just his aem ems. after reading all of this i'm not sure if i can believe it. I just want to tell him hes wrong but i can't because I dont know anything. I believe the EMS is an awesome machine but I dont think it can get you 15-20 extra by itself.

The EMS is good for quite a bit of power, but, if I'm making 225whp then EMS bringing me to 220 would mean that a JIC Single Cat-back, AEM V1, custom testpipe and Comptech Flywheel would have only netted 5hp. To be honest put it closer to 10 for most tuners. I plan to tune mine a little more agressive and will probably see another 5hp at least. So yes, 15hp maybe even 20 is possible, especially if you put in higher octane gas. But the further you push it with the tuning the more stress there is on the motor, and the more you will have to change your EMS settings for changes like temp, summer to winter

I believe that you stand a better chance of getting extra HP from tuning an EMS (even if the engine is stock) than you do buying headers, big throttle body, etc. The base map that comes with S2000 EMS is worth about 20 HP over stock, according to AEM's published dyno plot. Maybe another 10 or 15 HP waiting to be found with a good tune.
