wow what a tiring day it was for me. Anyway I'm actually very happy with the results, and very mad at the same time.

Before the dyno runs I decided to reset the ecu. Unplug the battery then hook it up again. The guy at the shop asked me how high to go, and I told him to take it to 8200 since that is where fuel cut is.

First run I think the ecu reset was a bad idea. Max hp=221, Max torque=155

Second run My ecu started to pick up again, but wtf!!!!! the moron only took the car p to 8000rpm rather then 8200. Max hp=221, Max torque=159

hmmm seems like the car is getting better, but why he didn't take it to redline I don't know.

My final run I was hoping the ecu reset wouldn't hurt me too much, and that my car was ready to do some serious business. THE IDIOT ONLY TOOK IT UP TO 7800 BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN. Oddlly enough at 7800. Max hp=222, Max torque=160.

The car was doing better each run, but on each run the guy was stopping the pull at an earier rpm.
I think if the last run had gone to 8200 I would have seen 225hp. Maybe a bit more if weather conditions were better.

Conditions: 84.38 degrees F, 29.77 in-Hg, Humidity 28%

The weather may have hurt me a tad bit, but What hurt me the most was not having some kind of tuning ability. That's what I feared the most, but all in all it turned out the way I thougt it would. Mid 20's with no tune .

I will have the dyno graph up soon. The curve is very nice, and for those that think I sacrificed low end torque, hp or whatever with the 3inch...well your very wrong.

I think with the ems I will be able to get another 15 or so out of this set-up.

:appluse: how odd is it that we had almost identical #'s! that explains our ass kicking tag team the last couple of weeks!

i think that it a huge win in the 3 inch department, no loss of lown end tq and the same wicked top end power. the best i could get out of mine was 221/143 but i am only a 2.0, you can really see the benefits of the extra cubes you have. almost 160 tq at the wheels. your a tq machine! i wish i lived close to you so we could run heads up and see how the two power bands interact together.

thankx it's good to be a member. maybe we should make a badge...

I'm not surprised about the torque. Gatta love the 2.2L . I'm actually really excited to see get the most out of my mods with the tune later.

So let's see with a combination of bolt-ons we'll say I made 20hp over stock(sounds kinda like a k20 with bolt-ons to me), I'll get another 10-15 with the tune(sounds like k-pro), now who said the s2k can't benefit with bolt-ons and a tune.

version it'd be one hell of a race between us . Hell we'll just both beat up on my buddies evo9.

by the way was your torque curve straight. I have a huge jump mid-range , then an even bigger one at 6k. mid-range power is very nice in this thing, and I wish that 8200 fuel cut wasn't there(ems will take care of that).

for sure! even with a vafc tune you'd smash the 230 mark. all that power on the stock tune! dayum!! heres my sheet, it small sorry, but you can see my hp/tq curve. the graph starts at about 3500.

i am trying to get some 4.44's so i can keep up with after you get tuned!! hahahahaha!

wow the tune really helps. Your curves are so smooth. Mine is jumping up and down all over the pace. all you need now is a header and I'd say 230 is yours

haha I'll actually be getting 4.44's for me also.

damn! ya i am looking at headers now, i really want a hytech. but sol on that one. i am thinking of having a custom one made, taking a bit from hytech and j's. i need 9rwhp to get me to 230, then i want to see 235!!

i am also thinking of copying your exhaust(call it the HvRRz special). maybe that plus header of some kind will bump me over 230.

great, now my mind is racing and i wont be able to sleep!!!

haha I wanted to make a custom header too, but when I saw a hytech for sale I had to grab it . I still want to have a custom 4-1 made similar to hytechs design down the line. There are currently no 4-1 header for the s2k, and they usually show much better top end numbers, wih similar low.

I actually love your exhaust. Looks very nice, and hell has the same tone as mine does. Then again you gatta love the carbon fiber look.

haha what time is it there? It's only 10:50 here, and I defenitly won't be sleeping for a long time. To much to think about.
