Yah, I had a snorkel and T1R 70r v2 with 4.56.
Louie had a K&N filter (as did I), Berk TP, Spoon N1, and tuned VAFC.

From 70-110, he only pulled a few feet on me. Very interesting. Not sure what stock gears in my car would have looked like.

I do not think it is possible get 30 with just an ECU, if it were true everybody would be running AEM EMS

Juan / Trip,

The car in question is a "kit" car, but the engine was an S2000. The intake was a K&N and it had a custom manifold. The mapper is the key part. Richard Bulmer is an Ex F1 / WRC guy, and a real brainbox. He has been mapping Impreza's for many years. After speaking with them, he said they could guarantee the same results on a S2000. Im still trying to get my head round it, as I cant see how it can be done in theory. I keep ringing back with questions though! Even he was surprised at the results I think.

S2000 isnt listed but they do take one to fit.

Im not involved witht his, so dont flame me for posting this - im as interested as you are.

Peak figures aint worth shit, but 30 bhp that low down must be pretty impressive. I can ask the guy who owns the car on here to post if need be.

I am not flame you, just I do not "belive it" 100%, I am not also questionning Richard qualities as a tuner.

But the S2000 has been modded for more time in USA and has done more research on it regarding the S2000, each car has some different characteristics.

AEM claims 15 hp increase with the CAI and the EMS, tuned by them. but who know if its true or the car is using 100 oct fuel and other tricks.

his kit car has a different mainfold and header and exhaust which has lot to do in relation with the +30 hp. According to him his kit was so loud 118 db at 4000!!!!.

Lowering the vtec has benefits, moves the HP and Tq curve to the left, but lower not always means better there is a limit.

I am just being a bit sceptikal, But i had suscribed to that topic
