I find it sad that the S-Pods are no longer available. I love mine with a 5.25" driver and a tweeter in each hoop. I'm so used to it now, and love the combined sound so well, that when I look look at roll hoops without S-Pods, they look empty to me. If I could find another pair of S-Pods to have on hand, I would love to pick those up.

Just tried looking on his site and cannot find it

I did the Modifry speaker replacement, and it is great!

Speaker adapter template

The speakers used are Aurasound NSW1-205-8A, and can be found here

There used to be a how to guide... basically you cut two of the ears off the Aurasound speakers, mount to the adapter plate, then use the other two holes on the plate to mount to the car. Trimming the speaker hole is difficult, but well worth it in the end.

Finished Product

Does the speaker upgrade sound more of an actual speaker or a tweeter?

I know this is a necro post, but just wanted to put this information in here in case someone else in the future wants to go this route like I currently am.

The speakers Modifry used were NOT the NSW1-205-8A 1" speakers. He had listed on his site that he used the NSW2-326-8AT 2" speakers. Elsewhere on the internet it is mentioned that his kit included 133uf 50v +/-10% capacitors inline as bass blockers filtering out 300hz @ 4ohm or 150hz at 8ohm. The speaker specs say it's good for down to 250hz so it would make sense to filter out 300hz and below.

Check here for his product page with the datasheet of the speakers used: https://web.archive.org/web/20180716...hs/index_2.htm
