Interested in what a tubular mani would do.... Maybe allow for more aggressive timing?

it should allow the turbo to be more efficient and will make more power quicker. Vtec could also be lowered since it is pretty restrictive with the log manifold.

The turbo is a small but the log manifold is the real problem. If pang made a tubular manifold replacement they would be popular.

I am planning on building a mani once I get ahold fo a Greddy turbo.. maybe equal length should be the way I go.

Do you already have a greddy kit? It needs the turbo to remain in the same spot to work well. Don't need to try and fit a wastegate either.

Personally I don't think the manifold design is the problem. It's the flange. Swapping to the Pfab replacement log doesn't suddenly put you >400whp. Swapping to a GT3071R or a GT3076R doesn't either.

Think about it. Pfab's other log manifold easily makes >400whp. GT3071R's and GT3076R's can make >400whp all day long on just about any other setup.

Hmm. Doesn't this make you wonder what's different about the Greddy setup? Why do lots of S2000 owners make 430whp on a Pfab log, but not on the very similar Greddy replacement log? Why do lots of GT3076R's make up to 500whp on other kits, but only 350whp on this setup?

There's one thing that all the other kits have in common that allows them to make more power. They all have T3 or T4 flanges on the manifold.

The Greddy kit has a tiny T25 flange on the T518Z turbine inlet and a matching T25 flange on the manifold. You can change parts all day long, but if they still have a T25 flange you're wasting your money because it's so small that it restricts flow. Lots of other people have already spent their money discovering this; do you want to repeat their experiences? (No offense meant to those who've pioneered solutions to the Greddy limitations. We've all learned from what you've shown us.)

Somebody needs to custom order a Pfab replacement log with a T3 flange, and a GT3076R to match. Bolt that on and you'll make serious power. There's nothing else in this kit that would restrict power so badly that nobody can hit 400whp.

Perhaps we could email pang at Pfab and see if they are intrerested in producing a new manifold if we can get alot of people who want to buy it...
