Hey Chris,

How important is the Greddy Map Sensor for the DBW?

I've read bits and pieces here and there, but I can't quite decide if it's necessary..

I've driving my car (DBW) with NON DBW kit modified, with stock map sensor for over 6 months. Recently (last month and a half) car has been running horribly, and we can't quite figure it out.

Tuner is saying that it's running very rich at WOT and he isn't able to adjust anything because he doesn't quite know why and what is making it so rich.

We thought it was the injectors, but RC ran a full test and they were in excellent condition.

Now I'm guessing it's the map sensor, but I've never heard of a map going bad on an DBW....

Just looking for advice from someone that knows their shit..

Thanks

also,

A/F is all over the place.. sometimes it's at a steady 14.7-15.2 but radically bounces around from 10 - 17's

at idle, periodically it'll rich out and drop down to 12's with increase in rpm as if something is dumping fuel into the motor...

Got a question, I'm trying to install an oil temperature gauge in my Greddy oil relocation adapter.

I bought a GlowShift oil temperature gauge, but the sensor does not fit, looks like it's too wide to fit in the channel on the Greddy adapter.

Should I get a greddy gauge? do I need some different sensor that will fit??

Thank you for replies.

u can't, keep an eye on used kits in the for sale thread. And no one really tracked the car that I know of. I have auto-X'd and it was good for that.
