Get the Greddy 70mm with stock or HFC. I prefer Greddy 70mm with stock cat because that's the cheapest option. This is 100% guaranteed to limit boost creep.

The lighter weight of the J's won't matter now that you will have 280-300whp

Also, once you are tuned, and for some reason your stock cat takes a crap due to age or what not, you can grab a used one for $50-100.

Which J's are you talking about? I had a J's 70 rr, but that's a full headerback which you do not want.

What's the Approx. Hp difference using the stock cat vs HFC? 15-20hp?...Less/more?

Normally it would be a hands down decision for me (greddy tic w/stock cat) because, as you said, its a lot cheaper. But the used kit im looking into can/will come with a HFC. Its just a question in rather i want to use it and if the increased flow is worth worrying about boost creep.

The J's exhaust i was thinking about is the fx 70rs. It would also be a used item so the price would be extremely drastic...
unless i'm also able to find a used greddy tic single in Socal.
If it comes with the HFC then you may as well use, I don't know how much it's worth anymore

Power difference can't be more than 10-20 whp. I honestly can't tell you that you will not experience boost creep with the HFC; hopefully someone can answer that for you. I knew a guy running a HFC + 70mm single or dual but ran 12 psi (JOEY LOL)

Aren't new Greddys <$700? How much is this J's you are looking at.

You may as well get a Greddy license plate frame to complement your turbo and exhaust LOL

Hey sammy,

my tuner said that my exhaust is really restrictive and is causing detonation problems... Did your tuner say anything?
No, he only said about this kit was it is way too rich. Now I am having pretty bad boost creep.
Anyway, what kind of spark plug are you using? Be careful with non resistance type thing.

Sammy, I had bad creep as well, get a HFC it willgive the greatest amount of flow without creep.

I just did a compression test on my car today ($25 DIY'er)
My cars an AP1 with 102k on it.
What are your guys thoughts on these #'s...
cyl. 1- 183
cyl. 2- 180
cyl. 3- 176
cyl. 4- 181

Safe to boost?

What's new around 230psi per cylinder? Our cars come 190-200whp stock right? Is the correlation direct, since i have lower compression #'s my hp is prob on the lower side?
Your motor is tired bro.

Just think of it as a lower compression motor. Why do your think there is a problem? Your dyno numbers seem real good?
