Im a newbie to this site but Im about to buy a greddy turbo s2000 over in the uk and will be tracking the car next year but I know people where saying when this kit came out its not good for track as its producing to much heat.
Just wanting to know if anyone has been on track with this kit yet or know anyone that has?
If so did anything go wrong or what kind of exhaust, oil temps etc where people getting?

Anyone know where to find a T25 turbo blanket? I can't seem to find one for the life of me.

 

I have not been to a track, but I have auto-X'd and it was awesome.. Never went above the stock 3 bars for temp..( only gott boost and wideband)

 

itlynstalyn, I bought a T3-T4 blanket off ebay & it fit.
You have to trim it to fit our wastegate acuator arm. Just use a sharp pair of shears, it's pretty easy.

 

Does anyone know how the iat sensor is secured into the charge pipe going into tb on the DBW kits?

 

i haven't seen a production model, but i think it's just a rubber grommet that you stick the IAT into.

 

I got my car dynoed today @ HBspeed in SoCal to get a baseline reading:

204.5hp
137.4 Tq

Ap1 w/ 102k on it. Only mods are upgraded valvetrain (Supertech Stainless Steel Valves, Dual Valve Springs, Ti Retainers, and APR Head Studs)

I was really happy with the results given its age/mileage!
Does anyone know if HBspeed's DYNOmite test reads high?

I also did a compression test and it reads 180 across the board!

My question is:

Will i produce good numbers with the greddy kit having lower compression?
I know lower compression is good for boosting but isn't the greddy kit designed for higher compression (225ish)?

How will the kit function with my compression? ( I'm looking to be around 300whp)

Its hard to compare the compression tests because every tester reads different.. Basically it is just used for amking sure one of the cylinders is shot.. In your instance, the readings were all the same meaning it is in good shape that way.. If that dyno is some what accurate then the motor is strong.... The compression being lower would mean the motor is weak.. ( not good for boosting).. Lower compression ratio is what you want... I would say u are good to boost, but the best way to determine a engines health is a leak down test...
