If anyone is interested, my buddy is selling his pan WITHOUT AC bracket. He bought that thinking it had the bracket and has recently swapped to the AC version. It's got 3 track days but it's not a wear part.

Has anyone made it out to the track to compare before/after oil temps with the new canton pan? I notice temps definitely seem to run a little hotter/higher on the street, but curious how it translates on the track. After removing the OEM pan it's clear it helps dissipate heat, as I notice temps don't drop like they used to on the highway, although I haven't gone on a long drive yet. I'm doing a track day next weekend and I'll report back then. Highest temps I saw on the OEM pan was low 260's F with high 80's ambient temp.

I have two good friends that purchased these pans and both have issues. The first one bought a pan and wasn't told that it was a non-A/C pan (last one on the buy that wasn't paid for). That's fine, he ended up selling and buying an A/C version. He then had leaking welds and another issue I can't remember. My second friend just sent me a video of a broken weld on the INSIDE of the pan where the tray is bolted down.

I don't get it... This is what Canton does. Why don't they do it well?

He had it on all last season. Not sure why he took it off recently.

Disclaimer first: I helped get the pan to market, so obviously I'm biased.

Errrr.....All on your friend for buying a pan without the AC bracket. It's optional. Did he ask for an exchange after he realized he purchased the wrong one?

Second hand info that "he had leaky welds and another issue I can't remember" really isn't the fairest way to knock a product.

Second guy with a broken weld where the "tray" (what tray?) is bolted down....well, it's a custom made racing product and he used it on the track. Sh-t happens. Would anyone say that it's a weld that shouldn't have broken because it was a poor defective weld?

Anyway....more complete and descriptive info regarding these incidences before mentioning them would be good.
