For the tire trailer just bring spare bearings with you. Usually if you repack them every year with high temp grease they won't be an issue. I never had a concern about my tire trailer even though I put it together myself with my minimal mechanical skills. My issue was always what to do if I can't tow it.

I think you'll find far more variances with BSP builds than STR builds and there really are only 3 fully committed BSP S2000 builds that I know of so there isn't a ton for us to share. The only thing I can't go into detail on is how Evans Tuning made my ITBs work. Mostly because I don't know all the technical details but also because there was a lot of custom work to make it run right that I feel is knowledge the shop has a right to keep inhouse but in general I've tried my best to document every detail of my build for my own purposes and for anyone else who might be interested though I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing is right so it's more a "learning process" blog than one with the ultimate recipe.

Actually make that 4 if you count Uyeda's car but he hasn't been seen in two years.

With us having reliability issues with this particular car at last year's Lincoln Spring Nats and I have a few spare parts laying around from my 2nd AP1 STR car that didn't sell, I'll be starting with a budget build with the focus on reliability (more Honda/OEM parts) and bang for the buck mods. However, I think it will be a pretty good car to begin developing.

For some time, I know I will be playing the role of helping BSP make it a full class, so that has some value/contribution to the group, right? haha

That'll be awesome. To be fair, I think we have the most reliable of the SP cars. We can't make our cars bullet proof but we certainly don't have a ton of issues and if you removed ProSolos from the equation, I bet the risks are way low...but ProSolos are too much fun and BSP index in SPA works out quite well in our favor.

Ehhhhh I don't think the S2k's are any where near as reliable as the pony cars or the vettes in SP trim....

Of course and it will be great to have the company in the class... Crazy that all of that last year was the alternators going bad... Sure has a strange way of showing up in the 06+

forgot if i ever posted up the shenanigans out at pueblo the day i bent up my left side suspension. My friend shawn was right behind me in his 400hp evo that i setup. We were having some fun, this is the session prior to the failure. A good example of how to have as much fun as possible

Good point. I forgot about the vettes. Those seem to be indestructible. Still don't want one though.

Robert, how do you like that shifter extension? I thought about getting one to further reduce the distance to the shifter but wasn't sure how reliable/safe those were.

Hey Robert/Dave,

Care to explain the alternator symptoms? I suspect mine is going bad.
