I picked up an extra trunk lid, and are going to run a wing. I was planning on running our GTC-300 wing, but with the 2008 rule change on the computation of wing area, it was made illegal, due to the variable cord design. It is about 4.75 sq ft in actual area, but by the rule book, it is about 5.5 sq ft.
I picked a GTC-200 wing (S2000 fitment), and we will run that instead. I have big old sheet of 1/4" 6061, and I will see if I can get some massive mounts made for it to get it in some clean air, or at least as high as the GTC-300 would have been. It will also leave some room to make a front splitter for the car. Just need to find an extra bumper, so that we can easily make it legal for the 2011 rule set if they ban alternate bumpers.
Not that wings will have too much effect at solo speeds, but my wife likes them.

I'm glad to see you're doing aero mods. As someone works with aerodynamics for a living, it amazes me what aerodynamics can do for cars, even at low (40-50mph) speeds.

i did not get a chance to meet you guys, i was running AS and was working while you guys were running in Pro PAX. I am not good enough to run with the big boys yet. I too have additonal driver mods i need to implement. I came in +2.5s behind Chris clean and +1.4s +1 cone on my last run. i coned the last cone before the finish. My fastest raw time was with downshifting to 1st 2 times. I tried to do it all in 2nd like Chris was saying but i am slower that way
. I honestly don't know how you did it Chris all in 2nd gear but.......

I just need more seat time in the car. It's not as easy to drive at the limit as the RX8 was.

I emailed Truchoice ( a koni authorized service center)... They said that a custom spring rate setup with custom vavled koni yellows is $1695, very reasonable for a budget build... If you go on their site its their phase 2 setup with custom valving and springs.
I am probably going this route. Figured id share what i found

Didn't you post somewhere that that's your wife's car? OMG, I can just imagine pulling up to to an S2000, big ass wing, top is down, and there's a married woman in the drivers seat. That would be awesome.
