06' with 58,xxx miles for $16,999 from a non-Honda dealer in FL. No real warranty to speak of. Do dealers really come down that much on these prices? I was looking at an 08' with almost 40k on the odometer and the dealer wouldn't go below $22.5k in NY. Sounds ridiculous to me, plus it had been in an accident.
Some of the prices you guys paid are amazing.

Picking up an '03 GPW with 77k miles all stock for $11k in a couple of weeks
very well cared for, only the standard S2K issues (worn d/s seat bolsters and very small soft top rips that have been patches). Biggest issue with the exterior is a poorly touched up paint chip
I've been wanting one for almost half my life (I'm 25) and have painfully waited until I had proper accomodations for one - just bought a house with a 2.5 car garage.

Howdy everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here and I know that I've got some great answers and suggestions before, so I thought I'd give it a go. Anyway... Here is my situation; I have a AP2 2004 with 28,601 mile. It has been driven and maintained, kept inside and covered. I'm the third owner and the older guy before me looked like he had the front bumper re-sprayed and a different grill installed. Other then that, the car is stock. Had a clean car fax when I bought it and a 150 point Honda inspection that was good to go. Since then, the car has a few nicks on the front bumper and I don't know if I should sell the car with the way the bumper is, thinking that someone that buys it might put a different one on there or just get it painted fresh. I'm not looking to make a killing on this car and I want it to go to someone that will enjoy it just as much as I have. I really don't know what to ask for it and looking at this site, prices seem to be all over the map. Engine, trans, clutch, electronics and interior are perfect. It might need some tires soon... Oil was changed not too long ago and I have records of all that kind of maintenance. I also should add that the clear coat on the wheels was cracking and I was able to get my local Honda dealer to replace ALL 4 rims with brand new ones 2 years ago. So, needless to say, the wheels are mint with no rash. I need to toss up some pictures to my web server so that you guys can tell me what you think, but I'm interested right now if you have any comments... I really wish that I didn't have to sell this car, but with two small children, it sees VERY little use and I want someone to have fun with it... Thought's? Thanks in advance!
I'm going to try and get some better pics this weekend, we've had a lot of rain so I don't want to take it outside and the lighting in my garage sucks... The tires are not bad, they are Goodyear F1's the rears have maybe 4000 miles on them...
Are you sure the bumper was repainted? A lot of these cars bumper paint doesn't quite match the rest of the car from the factory. However, due to this things nature to absorb rocks it certainly isn't unheard of. I'd sell it the way it is and give them the option to repaint it. Unless its a garage queen its just gonna get chipped again. You could change the rear diff oil (30k service), but that'd be up to preference. Otherwise just let the buying know that it needs to be done soon.
Depending on the color and options and how it looks I'd ask between 14-17k

Thanks for the information. I just want to be honest with who every buys my car. But yeah, you your right, this car isn't a trailer queen, I drive it, so it'll have a few dings here and there and a year back while driving home at night at swerved to miss some road kill but it still tagged the drivers side of the bumper cracking paint... and I have not had time to pull the bumper to replace or re-paint with the wifey and kids... That's when this spring I thought it would be best to sell the car to someone who can enjoy it more then me... Heck, last year I only put 4 tanks of fuel through her... Other then the paint on the bumper and a few dings here and then and a paint chip on the pass. door and left side on hood the car is really nice and mechanically perfect, as a car with 28k miles should be... Thanks for the information TheSteel, I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow of the bumper. I'll post the CL listing if that is okay, don't want to upset Mods...

BTW, it's Sebring Silver Metallic. Black interior. If the diff change isn't bad too do (I don't have a lift) I'll give that a go... I'll check it out on the site...
