-Official- Is this car worth it thread
I'm also in the market for an AP2, but they are relatively rare in 04-05 trim. Is there a big difference in the feel of the car between the 04-05 models and the 06+ because of DBW? I've heard anecdotally that the throttle response in the 06+ are a little bit more numb, but that it is a relatively imperceptible difference.
Please tell me if these are good deal:
2002 GPW S2000 with 98k miles, full red interior, clean title, two owners, asking for $13,000.
2006 GPW S2000 with 48k miles, black & red interior, original owner, clean title, light mods, hardtop for $22,000.
2006 Silverstone with 36k miles, black & red interior, two owners, clean title, for $19,000.
Which one should i pick, and how much i should offer?
Thanks!!

Went to look at a Subi and instead found an almost impecable '08 black CR with only 14,800 miles on it and a sticker price of $26,999. KBB estimated the car at around $29,715. I had seen CRs only on pics/videos before, but I must say the car looks absolutely gorgeous in person.
Do you guys think it's a fair buy or maybe too good to be true?

Don't get me wrong the Subi is a great car. I actually had a well modded WRX before I bought my last s2000 and loved that car. Super reliable even with upgrades. Had the s2k for about two years and thought I wanted something a bit more practical with more room and could handle any weather. So I sold the s2k and bought an Sti. It's great for that but when you just want to go drive and don't need the space or AWD (which is 99% of the time for me) it loses every single time to the s2k. I even just got good suspension and summer tires on the Sti and it still isn't quite cutting it. It took me not having an s2k to realize what an awesome car it is. I'm hoping to jump in another one soon.

bumhunta, I'd try to get a compression test done on it. I'd definitely ask what the reason for the new engine was. Did he blow up the old one with the supercharger or something.
I've been searching for s2k's for a month now and that is cheap for one with that few miles and also a hard top with it too.
