LOL true. I decided to wait for the low mileage black one afterall. I want to keep this car for a long time and that will require me to LOVE everything about it haha. Can't see myself loving the red. Thanks!
Sup guys!
Well..I bought the car. It's an 04 Silverstone with 28k miles, completely stock in prestine condition from a female driver whom seems to have taken great care of the car. Paid $15k + TTT.
I was looking for a few opinions. I'm considering buying an E90 M3 (That is, I'm working on the wife. I vaguely remember something about promising her I would keep the S2000 for at least 5 years when I bought it. Ha...ha.)
Anyway, I have an '07 that I bought new in April of '07. It's Silverstone/Red Interior. I'll have about 75,000 miles on it soon. I drive about 25,000 miles a year. I checked Kelley Blue Book and found Private Party in Excellent condition lists about $15,500 and Good condition list about $14,500. I would think that is fair, and I would expect to get offers that are lower than book value that are closer to trade-in value.
Here's the question. I was lurking about the Cars for Sale area and found that people are asking $13,000+ for AP1's. Are people really getting $13k for an AP1 with 50,000 or 60,000+ miles? Despite the high mileage, my car is in 50 times better shape than the ones I've seen.
Is my car worth more than I think it is, or are these people just not selling their cars?
Here are few recent pics of how it looks now, with the exception of newer OEM tires vs those RE-01Rs that I hated. I would probably part it out and sell it stock. I would guess that I would get more selling the car stock and parting it out.
By the way, I'm not sure how much of a difference this makes, but here is what my detailing gear looks like. Paint is better than new.
That's a lot of miles. But it's an '07, so somehwere between $14-$15K. But your area makes an impact on this too, in CA and FL there's more S2000's in the marketplace. More than likely your higher mileage 2007 has to compete with lower mileage ones in the $18K-$19K private party market.

'07 about 75,000 miles
When I was looking a few months ago I would have had a hard time turning down your car + the hardtop for $15k, even with the miles. I think a fair price for the buyer and seller would be ~$16k for the car and ~$1-1.5 for the hardtop.
