-Official- Is this car worth it thread
If you pay that much for a slave tittle car you must have money to blow. They are probably sitting back laughing because of the money their going to make if you go through with it.
I know it's beautiful in person and your probably in love with it, but you can find another one with no issues for your price range.
Cars like that are hard to sell first off, and it will make squeaks and rattles because it's been pieced back together. No body shop can ever get a car back to as good as new.
It's up to you but myself personally, Id pass with out a doubt.

Honestly just get it checked out by a reputable mechanic if they say its good mechanically, go for it. Especially if you don't plan of re-selling it.
Its difficult to tell from those pics the extent of the damage. Sometimes you just have to take a chance. Cars can have a clean title but still be abused.

I got a rebuilt 01 with 90k for 9k. It says it was in an accident, but didnt specify. Previous guy said seats were stolen but I think that was bs. Top is fairly new though it seems. Tough what bothers me is when I look at the car from a distant one of the fenders looks almost mismatches (like bad blending when they painted). But its only in certain light and certain distance. Most people cant tell, but I sure can. Although it did have 7 previous owners.. Meh my ex gf had more in a few months so I consider it not a big deal
. No real problems though, just had to get a new clutch (ofcourse) and a few maintenance things. Body shop said it was sound after I bought it so i'm pretty pleased. But dunno how the resale value would be..
Sorry for taking over your post but I thought id give you some insight since salvage is close to rebuilt. 14k is pretty steep but atleast you know what you are getting into. Like the others were saying, you can find a much better s for less. AP1 FTW! Just look around a bit more. Hope things work out

I wouldn't buy it. Way too much money for something that's been badly repaired. That work around the strut towers is no good. I'm assuming you've compared the equivalent areas on undamaged s2ks? It makes the poor bodywork on the gpw obvious.
And something I've learned from looking over cars with accident damage: if there are visible shoddy fixes, then there's probably damage that's been improperly fixed and hidden too.

Hey guys, needed some advice also for a rebuilt titled ap1, he said it was from it being stolen, I will run a carfax on it. Guy had it listed at 9.5k but he said he could do 8.5k for it, he has all original parts for the car that are included with the sale. Here's the spec's...
2002 Honda S2000 - 120,000 miles
BODY
* Ap2 headlights
*CR front bumper
*CR rear bumper
*Carbon fiber Seibon trunk lid
*Carbon fiber VIS hood
*OEM spoiler
*Mint OEM Top
Suspension
*Skunk2 lowering springs
*CR gear to gear rear axle/posi trac
*CR steering box /tighter ratio
Engine
* K&N air filter
* carbon fiber cooling plate
* Stage 1 clutch
* full Apexi exhaust with test pipe
Any opinions would be appreciated, reason I am looking at this rebuilt one' because I have been driving civics and jdm front integras forever and am no longer 19, tired of people looking at me crazy. Never had enough $$ to get an s2000, I now have about $10,000 but really don't want to drop the whole thing on a car because I will then be broke. I am planning on taking it to a mechanic and having it fully inspected, was hoping to have them check the retainers for over reving
