Yeah, it is much more of a buyer's market at the moment.
I just really want a spa yellow, and have had a hard time finding one stock with low miles and decent history for sale in the Bay.

That said, I did just find this morning a white one for sale:
'06, 27k miles, original owner, clean title/record, for 17k.
Haven't communicated with the owner yet, so don't know the actual condition.
White is my second favorite color, but don't know the actual condition of the car yet.
This one sounds promising though, no?

It has potential. Many people here think white is the best color. Are you looking on craigslist or anywhere else?

Mostly on Craigs, but I've checked hankshelper for listings on Autotrader and Cars too.
The GP white looks promising, but never can tell until you see and drive it in person.

Do you guys come across low mileage AP2 spa yellows in the 15-17k range often?

I saw lots of yellow S2000s when I looked a few months ago but I didn't want yellow. They are out there.

Yeah, guess I will take a look at the gp white one and see how the actual condition is.
Seems like a pretty good deal if the car is up to par.
If not, I will wait for a pristine spa yellow to come on the market.

What do you think one should expect to pay for an excellent condition '03 GPW with 20-30k miles?

I am willing to take my time and maybe even travel, but the owners seem to want way beyond Bluebook prices; prices which don't seem "realistic" to me, even for a rare color.

I was so close to getting a fair deal on one a couple months ago but then the seller decided to keep the car.

Maybe I should change my screen name to "frus2k'rated". LOL.

I found a used GPW listed for $8100 with 69000 miles. The ad said the car was 10 miles away. I emailed the guy and he said he, and the car, are located in NJ. Im in Pittsburgh, and he also said that the final price is 7100 shipped.

He said that he is using the Vehicle Purchase Protection Program that is offered through ebay motors, even though the car is not listed on ebay.

I know that if everything he has said is true then the car is a great deal, so I apologize if this is in the wrong section/thread, but Ive never heard of Vehicle Purchase Protection Program on a car that isnt listed on Ebay. I also dont like the fact that the car isnt where the ad originally said it was. Im pretty sure its a scam, Opinions?
