How about this: a 2007 one owner, 37,700 miles, upgraded sound system, $17k in the Dallas TX area.

Too bad I can't afford to buy one yet as that seems like an OK deal, not great, but one of the better ones I have seen.

BTW, nice detailing kit ya got there.

Found a better one:

2006, Silver, 21k mi, honda certified, one owner
$18,500

only downfall: interior = black with red inserts. I can't get over the red, I don't like it one bit

Choices...

i have been lookn at s2000's to buy for the past couple months and i cant get over the fact that every private owner in the northeast is selling their car (on average) for atleast 2-3 THOUSAND more than the private party kbb value
i understand that some of these cars are wayyy below what their miles should be but that all gets factored in the price so i really dont get it

Right now KBB is a buyer friendly price. If you can find a car at KBB you're probably getting a good deal.

I agree I was searching for a car for a few months, nothing is selling for blue book value. Prices are high and there is slim pickings out there. I finally jumped on a 04 with 50k miles silver w/ Black for $15k. I called within 1 hour of the posting on craiglist and by the time I look at it that night 3 people where ready to look at it and even a guy from oregon.

JMChristopher, i was looking at that one in dallas this past weekend, ended up buying this one instead:

05 silverstone

17k for 45,xxx miles with silverstone/red-black. whoever was talking about the buyer's location being a factor on price and availability is spot on, i live in Oklahoma City and the marketplace is totally dry. dallas (200 miles away) has about 15 for sale in the 15-20k range at any given point, but i was looking for a specific color combo, and for the luxury of choice you may have to pay more than blue book. unfortunately in markets like mine, scarcity benefits the seller.
