Looking at 2 different deals nearby where I live:

First is from a private seller, 1 owner, no mods, babied. 2001 with 24k miles for $15k

Second is from a dealer, no mods, excellent condition. 2004 with 11,250 miles for $22k

Should I stay away from these years first of all, or look for a certain one? I don't think they should be a problem and both deals seem really good. Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with either year. IMO both are practically new and should be nice, but the 04 the model I prefer.

If you can live with the plastic window and can get the car for say $14ish I would go with that one. Personally I think $22K for a 2004 is way too much even though the miles are low. But go with your gut instinct. Good luck.

Daily driver? Consider the '04 for the glass rear window but like was stated above that is quite a difference in price. I have an '00 and prefer it, have had no problems with it and also don't daily it.

I should mention that the first thing I will be doing upon purchase is buying/installing a hardtop, so that fixes the plastic window problem

It will be a daily driver also. Any more thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for all the help so far.

***no longer need feedback*** got a CarFax on the car and found out that it's a little too sketchy for my taste. New fenders, hood, trunk, seats, roof all due to "theft"....5 owners and at least 1 reported accident prior to the total loss. Made a lowball offer but doubt it'll work out.

Hi guys - sorry to make this my first post but I had originally joined as I was considering buying a members car and was researching his posts/threads on the site prior to purchase.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on this car posted below? It's a 2004 with 35k miles...and a salvage title "due to theft". I'm considering it as the price seems pretty good - but what are your opinions?

The purpose of the car is to be my DD in the place of my Wrangler (Jeep will still be around...but the 13mpg is really getting old) and an occasional autoX that I don't feel like taking my Mach 1 to.

So the time has come to sell my baby :/ Im moving up north for college so its not worth ruining her up there, plus i could use the extra money.

Looking for 11,000 FIRM! NEED IT SOLD BY MONDAY/ TUESDAY. IF YOU ARE GONNA TRY TO NEGOTIATE PAST THAT, DONT EVEN BOTHER CONTACTING ME. The car is located in Riverview.

Hello forum,
I'm a 55 yr old guy looking for my guilty pleasure. I have read quite a bit about the S2000 so I know what a great car it is. I'm looking for a 2002 or later model with less than 100,000 miles and want to spend less that 15,000. Stock would be great or a few tasteful mods. I live in North Alabama and here are the cars I've found within 200 miles that meet the bill:

Any advice or things I should look for would be appreciated. From what I've read I know clutches and tops can be an issue.

Thanks,
Mike
