what do you guys think about a 2006 silver bone stock with 60k miles. Original owner. He has all the maintenance records for the car. It is paid off. he said it was in one minor accident and its been fixed, only cosmetic. (dont know where on the car yet but i will inspect that)
he was asking 19k for it but got him down to 18k. i haven't seen or test driven the car yet but will be doing so this weekend. just wanted to grab a quick opinion. This is in California too. Been searching for a while now.

Would this car be worth buying (link below)? I have been wanting an S2k for a while now and I found this one. I don't have tons of money laying around to buy one and I have a trade worked out with this guy if I want this one. I was just wanting to get your opinions on it. I want to know from the people that drive them everyday and know what to look for. The guy said it has a rebuilt title due to a fender bender. He said there is no damage to the frame. 121k miles and he has a spare front bumper and stock mirrors. He also has a turbo (don't know what brand), 1000cc injectors, fuel rail, and BOV. CF hood and trunk. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

Does it run? Can you personally see this car and drive it? Is the turbo installed, partially installed, or are the turbo parts just something that will come with the car?
For me, seeing a computer screen full of tags to help get this add some exposure throws a red flag to me. I'm concerned for the engine if it has been turbo'd. How many people piece together a turbo for their car, or even buy a kit, then decide to sell everything to go a different route. To me it doesn't add up because I'm seeing a loss without much attempt to a recovery.
The kit is missing a lot if that is all he is providing info for.
The rear bumper looks like a modified ap2 bumper, the front is ap1 with some kind of cut out at the tires, rims almost look like powder coated ap2 v1's
Headlights look like either jdm or re-sealed stockies.
Has an FRP mugen replica hardtop (no soft top photo/condition)
I didn't see any gauges as a usual sign of forced induction.
I would like to see more interior shots, otherwise my impression is a whack interior.
Looks like the mirrors might be possible J's racing (possible)
Missing radio antenna.
Overall i'm digging the caramello candy wrapper on the drivers seat among grass clippings. Is that also a huge garbage bag in the passenger seat??
I'd seriously proceed with skepticism and caution before doing any negotiating. I have a good feeling you will need to invest some money in the engine and possibly tranny/diff. If you don't have much fundage, fixing an s2000 is not in your cards. I'd say keep looking around.

no, im just judging by the pictures..it's a hack job, look at the steering wheel. first off its a cheap ebay knock off and it's going to break, second, the wheel isnt even put on striaght, i can tell from the H logo being the way it is relative to the degree of the wheel, second you dont want to buy anyones junk. how was this car lowered? ebay junk? i wouldn't go for it if i were you, you dont know what was done to the car, if it was done right or anything. it would cost you a nice chunk of change just to make the car safe if these are junk ebay parts...but its totally up to you...
Rebuilt title from a "fender bender"? I wouldn't go near it. That title might prove to be a big problem in the future should you ever want to sell it. Just looked at the pictures. Trash bags and what appears to be a partially eaten candy bar in the seats? Makes me wonder what the oil looks like.
