So I am considering buying an s2k and I found a 2003 s2000 with 12x,xxx miles for sale at $9,000. I asked them about its condition and he said that the clutch was replaced recently but the odometer had broken but recently repaired but it still says that the car only has 92,000 miles on it. This is the car:

Selling Price: $7,995
and you say it's for sale for 9k? You're supposed to go down in price after looking at a dealers ad, not the other way around..
looks pretty good even for 9k though especially since it's the best year of the AP1. Arguably best year of the s2k in general. Only thing left to do is make sure the carfax is clean and test drive it for yourself!

 

i trust dealers about as much as i trust politicians. generally, they don't know shit about the cars they are selling. they are just selling them. $8k is on the cheap side but who knows what you are getting into. hard to tell from an ad if the car is a good one or not. looks pretty stock aside from the painted wheels. have you seen a carfax? they don't tell all but they can have some good info.

 

Oh sorry, he increased the price by 1k because of the fixed odometer

 

Yeah I was going to inquire about the carfax when but he said that he would have to drop it off at his house personally so I just said I would come by sometime to look at it

 

an odometer does not equal $1,000.
