Hey guys I am looking at a 2001 S2000 with 83k miles on it, but it has a salvage title. His price is $10,500. The car looks clean, he said that it had a rear end accident about 5 years ago and there was no frame damage. Do you think is asking price is right?

Thanks

Mine is 2003 with 76k miles, and I paid 12995 for it. So, that's pretty high price, IMO.

Salvage value is typically half that of a clean title. That said I believe more like $7000 would be fair. If you negotiate a deal be sure to have the car inspected. You don't want to take someone at their word when it comes to possible frame damage.

I honestly think its not worth it. I would take your time to find a car with a clean title, it will give you peace of mind about knowing its never been wrecked. Plus when you end up selling down the road, it will be much easier to find a buyer.

I payed 13k for my 02' GPW, 1-owner, all records of maintenance, 54k miles. From a Subaru dealer, 60-day warranty, 2 years ago.

That's a little pricey for an 01 with a salvage title. I bought and fixed my own 02 salvage title s2000 but my car had 33k miles and 1 owner and all my vins are matching. Nothing wrong with salvage or rebuilt as long as you know the previous damage or trust the person who rebuilt it.

hey guys I've been looking for a s2k worth buying found this one 3 hour drive away. Its a 2001 BB with black and red interior with 65k miles for 12,000. The guy says the top was replaced about a year ago with a cloth aftermarket one, the clutch system was replaced this spring and new rear tires as well. The car is completely bone stock and he is the 3rd owner and has no accident history he claims its garage kept and will include car cover. is this deal worth pursing? I will be paying cash money should I hold out for a better deal?

I need some help guys! Can you help me ID any modifications on this car....and what they'll do to the car? I vaguely recognize the wheels, and think it's been lowered from this site. My friend totaled my old S so Im after a lower priced 06+ but dont want one that's been modded too much.

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!
