This is a good point. However, new '03's were easy to get back then. A newish AP1 today is rare as opposed to a newish AP2. I know I'm a fanboi but I would pay more for a 7,000 mile AP1 over a similar AP2 based on availability.

I have wanted a s2k for years and sold my car in December of 2012 and have been on a serious hunt ever since and I believe I have found the "one."

I'm going too be most likely buying a black 03 with 115,000
-Exterior is a 9/10 and interior is a 9/10 also.
-Car is absolutely bone stock and nothing wrong at all with the car.
-Clean title as well
-Soft top in great shape too

We agreed on $12,000

What do you all think?

That's a fair/good price if everything checks out and it's in actual 9/10 shape.

Hi all,
http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/3648674584.html
What do you guys think?
I offered 10k and he is considering it, I am going to look at it tomorrow as well as taking it to get inspected. My only concerns are if the car has bad compression or damaged retainers/keepers, if it does should I pass on it or offer something lower?
Thanks

I see an intercooler in that picture which means the car was previously (or still is) boosted.

If the car has all of it's original metal, and the new paint work is good, I'd seriously consider it. But... I don't like any of the mods that have been done.

I'd jump on it as it sounds like the engine is nuclear powered --- "New uranium laser spark plugs" ----- if its not properly shielded though it might cause hair loss.

Offer less. You should value the car using kbb but also accounting for stock condition. The wheels do not raise price but lower it. Test the compression if you are worried about it.
