Hey im will new to this site and Im super close to buying myself a s2k 2001 a red one with 95000 this monday but need a little help figuring out if its a good price it all stock with 95000 and the only problems are in has minor scratches in the bumper and a 2 inch crack on the plastic window which i think a little glue can fix it, has good tires and my main concern is he told me the clutch started to slip a little on high rpm but cause of that he lower his asking price by 1000 so clean title,95000,and the problems for 8,000 guy seems really honest about everything he told me the clutch started slipping a little so what you guys think is it a fair price any suggestion that can help me before i purchase and i know when a clutch is slipping bad i recently had mine replaced on my 07 civic si. Thanks for all your help and any help or comments will be very appreciated.

Can I get opinions on this?

2007 Silverstone with 38k miles, very excellent condition, tires are not new though. Top is fine, clean car fax. Southern car (rust free).

It is on a used car lot, and it is listed at $24.5k. What would be fair?

Thanks!

Hi Willy191,

I'm going to give you a few pieces of advice.
  1. What to look for when buying a used S2000
  2. -Official- Is this car worth it thread - vol. 2
  3. KBB
  4. NADA

All of these lovely items are available for you to use when purchasing a car. The first two being in this very forum section and on the front page. You, rather than making this thread, should have posted in the "Is this car worth it thread". On top of that, you should be able to do your own homework with KBB and NADA to get a general idea of what the car would be worth in a Private Party sale taking into consideration the damage.

If I was looking into an s2000 and it needed a clutch and soft top(the faded plastic would bother me, and the crack would be even worse), I'd pay $8k for it.

The price he took off for the clutch issue would cover the cost of a new clutch, oem or aftermarket, and labor(don't go to honda because it'll probably be way higher than $1000 for all of that.)

As for the top, you can get a replacement with a glass window. If it doesn't bother you, then I think the price is still fair.

Been looking for another s2k for a while now and ran across this.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=1&Log=0

I know the original owner (late 60s) and he took very good care of it. I took it out for two hours Friday and everything checked out. Here's the thing, its 4k over my budget, so, here I am posting this.

Looked around at few cars yesterday liked 2/8.
I thought this car is the cleanest but the one with the highest miles.
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/3723939416.html

We agreed on 9500. Car comes with new soft top, f2 coils, and extra set of ap2v1.
I think it's a good deal.

Hey guys thinking about buying my fourth s2k.

I have the opportunity to get a 2003 nfr 21k miles oem hardtop for $20,500...

Is it worth it? Mint condition inside and out.
