Did the owner use the car as a dd year round or just summer? If its garage stored during winter, it should be fine.
I figure it must have been a dd since it got 26xxx mi in about 24 mos. Probably wasn't in the garage much if at all.
I saw it on a lift for a few minutes but couldn't see much because of inner fenders etc.

Can you drive a light rear wheel drive that much in Minnesota or do you think it was driven some where else? let me know what you think about all those miles in 2 yrs up north.
Thanks

I paid a little less than that for my 03 with ~65k miles, at CARMAX

Anyone inquiring could easily knock it down a couple grand.

Knock that price down another $4,000. I didn't pay much more than that for an '06 Suzuka with 31k.

I have two more options. SYP 2002 with 90k miles asking 9500 firm (Says salvage title)

http://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/3709834549.html

Or a Red 2002 with 123k miles and a clean title asking 7950

http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/3734582077.html

Which one is the better buy. I've always been one to shy away from anything with a salvage title, but this one seems to be done right. I've read that the miles really don't effect the car much at all. How true is this? 123k to me sounds like a lot, but I had a beater Honda that had 286,000 miles with no problems but it wasn't a performance vehicle. Could you guys shed some light on these two vehicles for me Thanks in advance!

That SYP is really pricey. I'd skip on that. You can pick up a non salvage S2k with that mileage for that price.

As for the red one, the seats have been swapped out or the car has been repainted. I'm 99% sure red Ap1's did not come with red seats. It's worth checking out if you are close though.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I noticed about the odd colors being together and plan to ask him when we speak in the morning. I also noticed the ap2 bumper on it.

EDIT: Spoke with him. The mans son bought the red seats a couple years ago and replaced them as well as swapping the AP2 bumper over to it at the same time.

Did you end up looking at it?

I ended up running auto check on it because I actually don't have a way of seeing it personally seeing as I'm in Japan currently. Insurance claimed it as a total loss back in 2006, that's how it got the new bumper. Some how the title was still clean but I decided to pass. The search continues.
