Why? AP1 wheels are lighter
I say just go balls out and get spoon sw388's...just about the lightest wheels you can score...
a want 17's. better tire choices and the offsets and width's of the AP2's are awesome.

if you weight the different stock setups...AP1 and Ap2....Ap2 is lighter...since the tirre weighs less

I dunno man...last time I checked, there's alot more material on the AP2 rims than there is AP1 rims...and from what I can remember from chemistry, aluminum weighs more than rubber....
...besides, there's more rubber on the AP2's anyway...wider tires provide more surface area, thus more thick compound...the only rubber the 16's had on the 17's were another 1/2" all the way around right at the rim...hardly enough to matter.

I'm gonna go ahead and call you out on that. I think the AP1 stuff is lighter. There's just simply less material, aluminum and rubber.

Well the results are in... My best pull was 206.5rwhp and 134.5tq. My mods are k&n filter/spoon duct. And a custom catback exhaust that cost me $200. Considering im running a stock cat and and it's an 01 i am very happy with the results. This was done on a dynojet. I cant wait to tune this car and get some nice gains and maybe throw on a test pipe also... Let me know if you have an questions...

here is a video of the car on the dyno: http://media.putfile.com/S2k-Dyno

and some pics:

How big is your exhaust?

Good numbers, btw.

Nice numbers! Notice how your HP starts to drop right at 8250 rpm? That's typical of early s2k's. A VAFC tune will probably get you another 10-15 up top, peaking around 8750 instead. What's your next planned mod?

Those heavy ass, yet sexy, wheels probably don't help your dyno either. and no fan in front of the intake duct?????
