man i woder where I'm at with my current mods. Version you have a flywheel yet? It'll help put some good power to the wheels too. The T1R should give you a bit more over the spoon also. I'm looking to get the J's header, but the megan one seems to look exactly the same to me. 'm just not sure since there are currently no dynos with the megan header yet. If it does anything like the J's would for there price I'd be all over it too.

By the way what is our vtec point set too?

i have VTEC hitting at 5700H and then 5400L. i guess that is where my car liked it. sometimes though my car is kinda sloppy when it comes on the cam. it hesitates for just a split sec. it wierd??

no flywheel yet. i know its good for 4-5 hp.

hesitates?? wierd, do you feel a drop in power then a rapid burst as it does this? I wonder what it may be. I was thinking of having a similar transition point for mine swell with an increased redline to 8.5K

I'd say the flywheel will probably free up around 5whp or 10whp if your lucky. but it really helps in the overall performence of the car. response is amazing, and the rpm climb quick and smoothly, shifts come quick.

ya, kinda not really. it hit the cam, stutters for just a tenth of a sec and than BAM! WAAAAAAAAA! hahaha! i think i need to look at the settings in the VFAC. i might raise vtec back up to stock. with the leaner AFR i am making enough power south of 5500 anyway.

We dont mean to make you second guess a header choice or FI.

FI will ALWAYS be cheaper and more powerful.

A header will only help if chosen wisely (hp=$$). Spoon, Js, Toda, and Amuse are the ones we are looking at (peak numbers). Mugen, Ricks, DC, etc wont do this.

Yeah, a 70mm exhaust is better, if you can handle the sound!

Good luck to you as well... You look to be in a dry place, so I also recommend the AEM V1/V2 for cheap hp.
True. I was watching battle of the 10,000RPM...it might have been the old one but I remember one of them saying that when your car is NA and you have that much power, you can step on the pedal and feel it instantly yet with FI it doesn't come as instantly as NA. With that said it got me curious to see how fast our cars can be. I do want to go FI just because I want to feel tremendous power and hear my first own pshhhhh! I have an invidia exhaust, I truly want to keep dual for a while because I think that's what looks best to me. Is there a 70mm exhaust thats made in dual? I know you WILL get more power with a single as your saving with weight reduction and just one straight pipe out the back...but even my invidia being pretty loud i'm positive the 70mm exhaust will be louder..even more with a single..which is fine with me . I definately am in a dry place and my car never gets driven in the rain since it never snows here. I might as well go ahead and get the AEM intake and see where it takes me from their. I know i gotta get a clutch and flywheel which will help with a better clamp on launching. You definately get what you pay for and I dont like installing parts that dont give you crap. Thanks

Black - welcome to the club!
Good. An AEM CAI and a T1r 70r will definitely yeild some awesome power. Hopefully the Megan header will as well. Then with a flywheel, TB, and a VAFC, hopefully we can reach the goals...

Louie - You might need to retune the VAFC for the BEST effect, but Id wait and do it after a snorkel and header combined, so you can get it all done.
BTW AJ-R can make your stock TB Spoon spec in the shop for like $200 I think... David and I are going up this Spring! come with!

Okay guys... My final plan is:

AUT snorkel, K&N filter, stock box
Spoon Spec Venturi TB
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
Toda Racing Header
T1r 70mm Test Pipe
T1r Sparrow Exhaust
Comptech Lightweight Flywheel
Buddy Club Race Spec ECU w/ Vcon
4.44 FG (though not for power of course)

It'll be done and tuned/dyno'd hopefully by the end of March. I hope that's good for 225whp.

I think everyone is probably checking that Megan header thread 5 times a day If it nets good power, Megan is going to have a cluster-fuk of s2000 owners on their website ordering it.

this thread really is a lot of ramble in parts hopefully after we are making decent power some of us will do some drag testing just to see how it compares...

I might just for the hell of it, and I have a bunch of friends that would go to, so maybe in the next month or so I will have some horrible drag times up. I suck at the launch
