3/11, WE'LL SEE HOW FAR WAY FROM 230 I AM. I PREDICT 221 ON A MUSTANG DYNO.

I HAVE ALREADY PUT 213 DOWN ON THIS SAME DYNO...

hmmmm you going to the AMS dyno day???

I'll be dynoing the same day at AMS. Not sure what kind of dyno they use. Does a dynojet usually read lower, or higher?

Damn you Turbo_PWR!!! Giving us all bad news!!

Your intake and exhaust are good. The header is mute, the cams are good, and the ECU is pretty good... You still saw a 20whp peak gain. Which is good!
I think that's what we are expecting or looking for, just wishing we were starting at 200whp. I didn't know 00-01s were that low stock. Thanks for the input!

His header is hurting him, aswell as the mugen ecu which probably did nothing for him.
His exhaust(considering it's the 70mm) is good, and his intake is good too(considering there was a fan blowing air into it during the dyno), and i've heard the cams will give around 5-7hp max. His gains are still nice compared to the stock dyno. Honestly I think the header is seriously hurting him. I know it's "HKS", but the gains maybe like DC's.(meaning they may even loose power)

I agree with the last few posts. I think people are expecting way too much from their mods... In my experience erly cars dyno at 190's at the wheels and 232 plus calculated at the fly.

To gain 50 bhp above that by some bolt ons and an ECU would be remarkable IMO.

I used to own an STi and knew the tuning scene very well. A full decat, header and ECU remap gave me 50 bhp.... On an N/A car you need to do way more.

It's defenitly much easier to get power out of a turbo car. I'm a turbo guy myself, and plan to go turbo in the far future when I'm finished with my NA goal.
I still think what we've been discussing is very possible, and it's not as if it's out of the question.
Couple weeks, and we'll see if what we've been talking about all along has been true...ofcourse when I dynoed stock my baseline showed 242hp and climbing(dam rev limiter), and 170torque. I wish I had dynoed whp stock, but never got the chance.

Yeah, I am just shooting for 30whp.
So if the average 01 dynos at, say, 195, I will shoot for 225.
I thought the earlybirds dyno'd at 200whp, 02-03 at 205, yada yada...

I didnt baseline my car, but I'll use the average and just shoot for the best.
I guess more than a power goal, I want to see what that setup is actually good for. At least it could help others, as well.

AUT Snorkel
K&N Filter (gutted box)
ProFlow 66mm TB (or Spoon Venturi)
Hondata Gasket
Toda Header
T1r 70r w/ 70mm TP
Buddy Club ECU Tuned
Comptech Flywheel

*fingers crossed*

Dan - so you dont need an EMS to run the Spec As? I know you dont need new pistons like with the B and C, but I figured with different timing you would need a tunable ECU. Cool!

I think you'll reach your goal with this set-up. You plan to dyno anytime soon. Although I wonder if using the stock box will hurt you....

I will dyno in April, May at latest.

Well the stock box will keep the filter colder (isolated from engine bay) along with the Spugen heat shield. The AUT snorkel isn't a true snorkel, but it does guide a lot of air into the stock box. My box is completely gutted, and the balck grilling near the hood latch has also been removed. It should provide some good air, and the ProFlow TB (which is actually 64.25mm inner diameter they said). My intake manifold MIGHT be Jet-Hot coated, but it will at least have the Hondata IMG. Then I have strong exhaust flow, a lightweight flywheel, and my AFR is tuned by AJ-R with a Buddy Club ECU. *fingers crossed*.
I want to see what I can put down without touching the engine at all. I think I have every power-adder on possible on my list without touching the head or block. Any other bolt ons I forgot?
