I think it's just a matter of time before you find the course with the feature that induces fuel starvation. Out of 5.5 years (average two events per month) of autocross I have encountered it about four times, but when it happens it's painful. This is all referenced to running stock class with race tires.

Yeah, I know the gauge is not linear. The tank had about 4 gallons in it because it was nearly empty and I put 4 gallons in it about 6 miles before I corner balanced it. I'm guessing I could actually run the car with at least one less gallon.

Regarding the fuel starve: I've been running it down lower and lower at each event to try to find the starving point. I haven't yet. In my 2000 which I raced religiously for about 3 years I ran into starve several times. I remember having to run 1/2 tank to try to avoid it.

I guess I just haven't been on the right kind of course to cause it in my STR car yet.

Geesus!! Have you guys read the warning labels on the R1R's? With that kinda info, I just wonder if these tires could get banned as I am surprised to see this kind of restriction on "street tires", but I will use them as long as I can or they are competitive.

The 1st gear downshifts is where the fuel starve gets me. I never fuel starved in 2nd. With the improved 2nd gear range from the Flash, you may have found a secret to running less fuel. Try some 1st gear downshifts in those tight corners you normally expect to starve in and see if this is correct. Whne I plan to downshift (pretty much every course), I run a full tank. I have starved with 3/4 tank of fuel.

If 4 gallons is possible, my car will see upper 2500s.

Then it is not T1R 70RT like this? http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant...ory_Code=T1R-ES
This one is raspy, don't care for it much.

Since you said EM and RT it didnt really make sense, because that combination is not labeled as such. I'm guessing you have the 70R EM Ti which is dolphin tip and has a resonator. http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant...ory_Code=T1R-ES

That exhaust is really quiet, its designed to be, good power too. I've been dealing with AJR since 04

Ahhh, yes. That explains it. I've got the 70R EM Ti. I love it.

^ Interesting. I use a downshift on real tight turn arounds... never had an issue. I guess im just lucky to have one that doesn't fuel starve as easily

On another note I had an event today Got to try out the setup in 50 degree sunny weather. Very balanced, I honestly dont think I will need much fussing with the shocks, Transitions were incredible, With the balance and all I cant imagine wanting a stiffer front bar. This event was on the Skidpad at NJMP, the surface was great. I got 6th out of 8 in out pro pax class, and got beat by drivers, not cars. Once I get used to the car and get to fixing that loose nut behind the wheel I think this car will do very well. I was overdriving parts of the course and that was costing me time. Based on the usual bench marks I use, the car is pretty quick.

Reminder on my setup

This feature induced fuel starvation below 1/2 tank every time. See the loop below. Out of the slalom there is a left turn that feeds into a decreasing radius left sweeper which feeds into a tighter left turn. If I remember correctly it was about 2/3 through the sweeper where it would happen. The loop was about 300 feet long.
