In may me and Sal Dipompo are running my AP1 on Dunlops in the NE Divisionals. I will report what happens. But so far from testing locally they seem good, but Im not the best yard stick, Sal should be better

IIRC Toyo R1R for the toyo guys and the Hankook RS3 for the Kook Guys

What worked on Toyo's for me absolutely did not work at all on Dunlops. I'll just leave it at that.

But you never got the Dunlops hot and neither did I. That's why I'm not running them.

I can't wait to see the results. I have seen so much up in the air on what works. I am waiting to order till I get my 949's to order.

Here's what happens when you have too much rebound on a rough surface. Understeer was induced due to bumps. Ended up with softest rebound and compression setting to cope. Tires are 255 Star Specs on 8.5" OEM wheels.

Suspension jacked down due to many bumps in a long sweeper.

Hey everyone I just bought an AP2 to use for the new STR class. I just placed an order for Tire Rack Brand C3 17x9 +62mm wheels with 255 Ecsta XS's all the way around for $1300 shipped. Pretty good deal. I heard about issues with the OEM 8.5" wheel rubbing against the front shock at high negative camber without a spacer. Does anyone know what the limits are before I rub? I'm going to try to do a thorough test once they get here since the fenders are off the car and I can clearly see it through the full suspension travel. Thanks.

My fenders have looked like that for a long time. Isn't because of rebound, its just lots of compression of the suspension. Only way you aren't going to have issues like that is to run a buttload of spring and bar - which isn't a great idea.

Its something we are all just going to have to deal with.

I think that, with stock springs and ride height, extremely high rebound can increase that type of rubbing. Since I changed the valving on my front shocks to much lower rebound rates, I have had much less rubbing.

In STR, springs are free so there is less of a motivation to run extremely high rebound rates that are not well balanced with the spring and compression rates. But the cars are lowered, so the chance of rubbing is increased just for that reason (like Nick said).

Interesting. Any ideas on why this might be?
