Where can I get a top mount with a 2.25" or 2.5" spring seat, that will mate with the stock sized shock shaft?

My Penskes already have lower seats for 2.5" (or it might be 2.25") standard coilover springs, so I just need an upper seat to use those springs.

^ I agree. I have been running with no rear bar for several years with great results. I prefer a very loose car. If you are having too much understeer with no rear bar and equal spring rates, I suggest you look at alignment or a lighter front bar. Are you running a bunch or rear toe in or a large front bar?
Saner front bar on full soft. I don't want to run a softer front bar as the last thing I would want is the car to feel more loose.

or

Those are the 2.25" ones. You can order those and use the 2.5" adapters if you like. Or you can get roundy round 2.5" upper perches that are $13 each IIRC from Speedway Motors. If you want those - lemme know and I'll find the part # tomorrow.

You need Motons. If you don't have them, you will lose

That really depends on your budget and how knowledgeable you are. You could get some $4000 Motons but if you dont know how to utilize them and tune them, your car could handle like a pile of poo.

That being said... A set of KWv3's should be fine for most people and they can be had at a decent price point.

yea I under stand that the guys that have been doing it for year are gonna kick ass no matter if you had a completly preped car and they were in a stock s2k if you can't drive. This is my first year autoxing and I plan to run in the str class. I can save money for some big money mortons If Thats what I need but If I can still have a really good handling for half the money then its not worth the extra 2k. I dd my car right now but I plan to keep it for a long long time and track it reguarly so I rather buy good once then half to buy twice because I didn;t buy the right thing the first time. I'm a college kid and don't I'm not gonna be rolling out with a fully str prepped car but I look at it like a couple season project that I'll continue to mod as I have the funds avalable. Between now and the start of the season I will have about 6000 to invest in my car to start my str set-up.

I have a t1r 70mm single

I figure
949 wheels $1000
XS tires $400 (I got the hook up on tires)
solid bar $650 shipped
Shocks $$$$

So basicly I'll have 4 grand left to start my str s2k. I have heard from a local member that I autocross with (marc) that the ast's from what he heard where amazing and did really well. Which are like half the price of mortons. Although I'm looking at it was a long term investment so I wouldn't want to invest in somthing that I would want to upgrade later.

How do the ast's stack up against the mortons and how dd-able or mortons? I dont care to much about a rough ride but Having to rebuild them every 6 months will leave me broke lol
