I would not qualify the splash shield as the "structure" of the car. You know, cause if you undo it's plastic clips, the car doesn't really fall apart or cease to function.

But.... I'm not running an AEM.

So what are you (or will be) running?

I get $445 not counting the compliance bushing (which isn't available anymore).

Agree, I missed one.

Did they ever make the compliance bushing or they just never got around to doing it? Odd that they list the part on the site, but don't make just that one bushing anymore...

The other bushings they do not have are for the lower shock attachment points. I sent an email to powerflex questioning that.

I'm running a K+N but I'm doing so on a whim. It looks to be alright and it weighs less so... I'm thinking about wrapping the tube in some sore of reflective material just to combat heat but... I don't have any dyno proof.

What's funny is the main reason I'm running it is so that I can make room to mount the remote reservoirs on the cross beam.

Thanks for the confirmation!!

I got a very swift response from TC Kline regarding if they have collars and recommended spring rates for their S2000 struts. So, I thought I would share.

Unfortunately we do not have any proven recommendations for spring rates for your car. As far as acceptable ranges...the struts can handle between 300 # springs all the way to 700 # springs.
Looks like I can do a pretty good rate without touching them... but, should probably consider custom valving to allow for more when they are ready for a rebuild.

BTW, their collars are ~100 bones per wheel. How is that price compared to other sources? Any recommendations on that? Is there anything I should consider in getting a set of these, or are they pretty much the same.

Thx!

Dave there was a set of comptechs for sale in the classifieds. $100/wheel with springs would be a good price If you run 255's X 4 I would run 700# springs. But I have no idea if that would be good with OEM shock valving.

So you have the K&N FIPK? The one with the shrouded filter compartment? Did you by any chance weigh it? I'm curious about the weight, but my searches have not yet found a definitive answer.

I didn't weigh it. I suppose I could since it's pretty easy to remove. If I get bored one day...

Its light. And I have nothing resembling heat soak on mine either. As long as you open the hood in between runs and spray down the plastic pipe everything is a-ok. Co-driver recently took it apart to put some reflective material on the outside to keep it cooler and to try and quiet it down - I'd say the box doesn't weight more than 3-4lbs.

I took it for a long drive at one point and quickly opened up the hood when I got home and everything was still ice cold. I imagine if you sit in stop and go traffic it would be different though.
