Increasing negative camber by extending the lower control arm increases track more than doing so by shortening the upper control arm.
That's pretty obvious. I was countering what the previous poster said about the SPC unit decreasing track to gain negative camber.

I was trying to clarify your statement that they "both increase track". Someone might assume that you meant that they both do so by the same amount.

you can use the plates if you want but its not worth the extra money. With my car lowered and using a j's racing s1 I was able to get 3.6 negative camber maxed out. Most of us are only running 2.6-3.0 negative camber in the front. Therefore the s1 works just fine.
josh, the plates aren't used to increase negative camber adjustment.. they're for cars that are dropping below a certain ride height.. to correct the roll center. hence the name 'roll center adjuster'.

I guess that was my incorrect understanding of where track width is measured. Looks like it should be measured from the center of the bottom of the tires instead of the vertical and horizontal wheel center?

Yes, that is correct.

Autocrossers measure from the outside of the tires when discussing "width" of their car compared to other cars, and the center of the bottom of the tire when discussing "track" for suspension geometry. "Track width" usually needs a context for me to know what is being referred to.

Haha that's what happens with to much steering input and toe out.

How do you install the endlinks into a Gendron FSB on a lowered car? I finally got my coilovers installed today and am about 3/4" lower than stock. It looks like I'd need a shorter endlink to use the 3 stiffest hole settings on the bar. The FSB arms can't rotate high enough to use the Gendron endlinks before the arms hit the tie rod boots.
